5 Star Disappointment
In all honesty of this product, I just wasn't feeling these at all. I hit better with my Wilson Ultra Kit but why did I give this 5 stars still? Because it's more than product when the work is mainly done from the end user so im not knocking these all the way down but I do have some serious differences to share with those looking at these and that is:THE BAD:BUY ANOTHER BRAND 4HY AND FW! Those two are junk in the whole package! The flex is like a womans flex club, now considering I naturally have serious torque with my swing but you have to severely slow your swing down in order to attempt to hit the ball and when you do, it pulls like crazy, So no matter how far closed I decide to go, it pulls and between the ridiculous flex with the 4hy, the ball just does this line drive thing and your doing the quick 50 yard up and down line drive and nothing like my Titliest 3HY.FYI when you buy this kit, you have have to make serious adjustments to your swing, these were made with some sort of offset and it seriously threw my game way off. I was hitting straight with my Wilson Ultra kit and when I decided to get these, Every ball seems to want to pull regardless how closed I was, I hit two balls in comparison to my Ultras and the Ultras were hitting straight!.The grips feel very very nice but seem to slide in my hand(i wont conclude this as a negative because like I said, i have a very hard torque swing so between wind and ball strike, twisting and all that jazz, it feel slightly uncomfortable, a grib swap would correct this). My opinion on the 5-9 irons are they are extremely light, The distance was much shorter than both my fathers ping irons and my Ultras. I noticed when I closed the club, the ball likes to line drive not draw, it I open barely, it slices not hooks(Did the same the with my Wilson Ultras and instant night and day difference... I got what I wanted each shot with them)-------THE ONLY GOOD:The pitching wedge is to die for I have to admit, very good hitting structure, like enough to get a nice up and down, the check up is really good so you can actually chip the ball a bit closer to the hole and it bites very well with trust.THE DRIVER OUTDROVE MY PING RAPTURE DRIVER! The flex is a bit on the flinky side BUT in this drivers case, when you make serious contact, you are sending that ball on a long vacation no doubt! Somehow with this driver I seem to have been hitting the ball much straighter allowing me tohit the ball like a normal person, not having to open or close the club -+3 degrees like I have to do with the clubs.--------OVERALL:It could be just me and at the same time it was the first time playing with these clubs but honestly, I played with the Ultras and Ping's for the first time at that time and hit every straight(Wherever my feet where aligned is where the ball was going). To each their own is what I say as some say the driver is not worth flies but I love it especially when it out drives a big name brand driver. On all the PGX clubs I saw where most of my balls were hitting and were hitting dead on the face so I was making full contact and can even see the the golf balls little round holes lol and I could tell I wasn't hitting center of it , I was hitting the right but man you have to make a serious adjustment. For me it was 7-8 degrees left of everything.I will probably give these another shot as we all know you have to get used to your set but gee wizz, I owned my Ultras for 15 minutes at the time and was hitting straight and knocking them in the hole in regulation in 20 more minutes later. I hit 4 LARGE BUCKETS to get used to the PGX clubs and oh my goodness the inconsistency!!!!I kept the PW and Driver and imma play one more round with them minus those junk 4hy and FW(I just seriously had the offset they did to them)... and see if any changed. My current Handicapp before my round right now is 16.3 so I know it's not ALL me lolCLOSING:If you are looking for a set of cheap priced clubs that wont break the book, I personally say shoot for the Wilson Ultras, This PGX kit is mainly made with an offest that supposedly eliminates slices and pulls but after buying them and using it, for me it seem to have promoted it instead. I couldn't figure out what to do so I said forget it, I lined up 6-7 degrees left of everything. If you insist on buying these, Be ready to break up with your wifes because after you play with the driver, you will be sleeping with this, I think it's a cool driver although I disagree with the regular flex(BY THE WAY IT IS NOT STIFF FLEX REGARDLESS WHAT THEY SAY), I still get this driver props! I could be over thinking things a bit and although I played one game with them I probably should wait on the review but I've play with other clubs I never played with and played tons better so I feel I have to post anyways. Now again, if you run into trouble and need a pitching savor... Use this PGX PW, I will recommend thatI still have to say go check out the Wilson Ultras, same price, no club offset, got some weight to it(Thus no arm fatigue), feels smooth, hits straight, distance is what the numbers represent, the FW on the Ultras are awesome for a starter set. Between playing with cheap proced clubs and the more to brand clubs... It's about price in this case my Ultras play sooooo much better and I actually kept everything lol.

Very good starter set
I bought this golf set for the price because i'm a beginner learning golf. I bought it in June 2013. I have since played some 18-holes and 9-holes, hit the driving range, chipping, and putting. Here are my thoughts after playing for 3 months with this set:Driver: This driver lacks the feel. It's made of graphite, light, but even as a beginner, i still feel that i don't get enough distance out of it. When i hit the 3-wood (maybe even the 4-hybrid), it feels like i get more distance out of it than this driver. Something is wrong with it. You can get this set but would need to get a new driver if you want to improve your game.3-Wood: This club is decent. As a beginner, i can get about 150-175 yards out of it. I hit consistently with this club and I often use this one to tee off instead of the driver because I get more feel and more consistency out of it. I will keep this for awhile as I am working on my consistency. I may want to get a new one after my game improves.4-Hybrid: Aside from the 3-wood, I love this club. When teeing off, I sometimes use this club instead of the 3-wood because of the distance. The 4-hybrid gives me the same feel and consistency. If I am on the fairway and still far away from the hole, I sometimes use this hybrid to hit it off the fairway and gives good distance. But sometimes I use the 5 iron instead depending on the situation. This is a keeper.5-6 Irons: I will keep the irons forever. When teeing off on a par 3, I may use the 5 or 6 iron. These are also good on the fairway depending on the distance to the hole. The 5 iron and the 4-hybrid are good too choose from when you're on a fairway, especially if you're trying to hit it straightaway need some feel in it if the landing area has a lot of hazards in the way.7-9 Irons: These 3 clubs are pretty good to use. I don't have any complaints about it.PW: This one also is a good club to use. This one is also a keeper.I gave it a 4-rating because the driver was not impressive. It will definitely be replaced once i improve my game.

100% happy
Great clubs for starters or those getting more into the game. I've played about twice a year for the last ten years with clubs from the late 80's and never thought about upgrading due to costs. Now that I'm playing about once a week over the summer, I figured I'd upgrade to some new clubs for super cheap. All these clubs are great. The 4 hybrid is probably the best club I've ever swung. I always struggled with my second shot on par 4/5 because I never could hit my low irons well and the 3 wood not on a tee was always difficult for me. The 4 hybrid is awesome. Straight, great height, and can sail balls from the fairway or ruff about 170-180 yds. Now I can actually hit greens in 2 rather than 3.The driver is good. I've never hit drivers very well (always slice) but this one I'm liking more and more. The 3 is great too. Finish on all woods looks great and helps, seems durable. Took my clubs out 4 times since I got them last week and the white finish seems to be holding up great, I do wash all my clubs after every round though. The irons are great as well. No complaints, good distance and pretty good forgiveness. I also bought the putter and the 60 degree wedge to complete the set. Both are awesome. If you are a casual player or looking to upgrade on a budget these clubs are the bee's knees, the cat's pajamas. For under $200 for this set and the putter and 60 LW, no need to look further. If you are semi-pro than I can see upgrading past these but for starters, casual players, or those on a budget, these are great.I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. Sounds like they have good customer service as well although I haven't had to call.

Absolutely Outstanding Indeed
Unbelievable value. I echo everything the Amazon reviewer who calls himself “Frequent Customer” says.I wished to replace my 20-yr-old second-hand clubs without spending a ton, as my skills do not deserve a bank-breaking investment.I chose this set for the price, and researched the brand. I find the Pinemeadow company charming, and plan to support them for years to come. I already had an old stand bag, and my old Ping Zing putter. The game of golf is moving away from the lower irons and more towards the higher lofting wedges.. I used to use my 4 iron a bit, but never my 3 iron. This set has a 23-degree 4 Hybrid that definitely fills the gap. I still carry my old 18-degree utility club for now.Anyway, the cavity-back irons are outstanding, as every reviewer agrees. They are clones of Taylormade RBZ, and I dare any duffer to tell the difference. Some reviewers have said the woods look cheap. Sofar mine have not suffered any paint chipping off, but every Callaway Big Bertha and Ping fairway wood I’ve owned has. This driver does not have any weights or adjustment options, which is the industry standard; perhaps Pinemeadow has that innovation in the works. If you are a serious enough golfer to care about weighting, buy a roll of lead tape. Maybe someday a name-brand driver would be a good addition to my bag, but my game aint there yet. This set can of course be added to, and I already have the 56 wedge. I plan to fill it out with the other two blade wedges, and one of Pinemeadow’s PGX putters. Maybe the matching bag too. They are game-improving clubs; this season I’ve shaved 6 strokes off my handicap. The real takeaway you need to know: DO NOT HESITATE. If you see this set is available, do not hem and haw, for it will be out of stock soon. This set is an excellent purchase for the experienced golfer who desires a second set for the summer cottage and for the intermediate golfer who would like a new, matching set of great irons. And you cannot find a better value for a beginner set either. Get to a second-hand sports store to pick up a putter and a bag, and you’re good to go. Highly recommended.

I love the irons
I love the irons! The are nice looking and super easy to hit. I'm a high-handicapper and find these irons to be a huge improvement from my hand-me-downs. The woods on the other hands are not as good. They hit well but look very cheaply made. The paint on the club heads are out of line and are not smooth to touch. I bought a "Secret Weapon" hybrid from Pinemeadow awhile back and that was very nicely put together. Too bad these woods aren't of the same calibre. Bottom line - these clubs hit well and will last me a few years. The irons alone are worth the price I paid.

Good set for the price
So far have only been able to use once, clubs work great though I've found that now I'm actually pulling (drawing) my irons rather than them being straight (something I'll have to work on). I think this is due to the 'weight' of the clubs - head heavy which is why I purchased in the 1st place (originally bought a 60 degree LW & loved that club).
