Q: Can this be used to cook a turkey "upside down", where the breasts are facing down?

No, the design of the "cannon" holds the turkey in the breast up position. But the steam from the liquid in the tube is released up into the breast. We have been cooking our turkeys the a cannon ever since they came out. Turkey cooked on a cannon not only cooks faster than any other method but also produces a moist flavorful turkey, better than any other method I have tried. I love turkey but cannot stand a dry turkey. I have tried everything out there. The cannon is the best!

Q: What is the max. weight turkey this can handle? Someone said a year ago this couldn't handle 16# bird but nowhere can I find an "official" size limit.

Hello we smoked a 15 lb turkey last year on our grill it worked great but we had to support the front of the turkey with a beer can under the bird the weight of the turkey was making the cannon lean forward, other then that I was pleased with my purchase and it worked great.we filled our bird with red's hard apple cider, and used apple wood smoked for three hours at 325 degrees and was done in three hours so it cooks fast.we are planning on using it on the grill again this thanksgiving with another 15 lb bird

Q: Can this be used inside a 22.5" Weber Kettle??

As long as you have about 9" in height you should be fine. After getting this its the only way I cook Turkeys anymore. Smoker, Grill, and Kitchen oven. Half the cook time, Crispy skin and Juicy inside.

Q: Do they make this product for very large turkeys (22) and can it fit in an oven? Thanks

I know for sure that i will safely hold a 20 lb turkey and i will fit into the oven. A 22 lb. turkey may be stretching it but you can do it by supporting it with veggies underneath for support so that it does not tip over. Make sure to use this rack on a pan with side walls to contain all the juices. It does makes a juicy bird. You will not be disappointed!
