Tippmann A-5 Sniper Paintball Gun with Red Dot

I received this gun in my mail on Friday and I shot it up on Saturday. This gun is excellent!!! Everyone knows the durability of any Tippmann markers. With these mods, and a few more mods and tweaks to go, this gun can be just as reliable as it is durable. Cleaning it is a piece of cake. Although, your average person has to refer to the manual to take it apart and put it back together, I managed to install a response trigger (not included) just using my common sense. I give the credit to Tippmann's design... that's just how Tippmann is.This is the gun with a thousand looks. You can mod this to be an AK-47, MP5, or M4A1 just to name the popular models most Tippmann owners go for. In fact, anything that the aftermarket has to offer can make every Tippmann unique. Don't forget, Tippmann has a huge aftermarket support. There is virtually no limit where you can go with this marker!In terms of range, I found the accuracy to be within 80-100 feet before the ball arched. Without any adjustments, right out of the box, I fired hot at 306 feet per second (most fields only allow 260-280 fps for velocity). The sight with red dot is a little cool thing to have but it's not useful unless you plan on modding the marker to be a sniper rifle (which will require a lot of work for more range and accuracy). It's adjustable which swivels the lens left, right, up and down. The only problem is it gets in the way of the hopper and you have to remove it for you to put the hopper on. The offset rail isn't "offset" enough to accommodate the sight while having the hopper on. If you like to keep the sight on, you'd have to invest on the offset hopper adapter --which I think is a great idea anyway, so you can have more rounds loaded. The aftermarket stock was a little hard to install because the fitting of it wasn't exact as the normal stock. You can't use a big tank with the stock collapsed. For example, you'd have to have it fully extended to fit a 20oz. CO2 tank. I recommend a remote coil for this to keep the weight balanced and light. During the game, the stock came in very handy. My arms didn't tire because my shoulder helped the gun steady instead of just my two hands on the grip and the fore grip.Overall, whether you're a beginner or a pro, this gun with these mods for this price is a steal! I have absolutely no regrets. I am more than pleased to be the owner of this marker.

When you get the package, you get a brand new in box Tippmann A-5 marker. Outside the box comes stack able Tac Caps(stub hopper), Hurricane barrel system and Rap4 butt stock. Initially the gun looks AMAZING! and works perfectly. However after the first few games on my local paint field some flaws come to fruition , biggest of which, right off the bat is the stock hopper and provided Red dot, individually they are great, but together get in the way of each other.id say 25-30% of the view in the red dot is obstructed buy the hopper no biggie though. the biggest problem happened the first day of play at the end! the male coupler peice from the butt stock that inserts into the A5 is WEAK! broke on field and lost my hammer spring and guide rod! as cool as this kit is, my advice is buy the gun stock and RESEARCH your upgrades and buy as you go!

Just bought this for $259 and it came with:1) The Tippmann A5 box which includes the factory gun, barrel, hopper with cyclone feed attachment extensions, barrel safety bag, alan key, barrel lube, manual, etc.2) New 16 inch barrel in a plastic case.3) New RAP4 stock.4) New Red Dot Site - 2 batteries included.I'm putting this up because I thought that it didn't come with a hopper since the picture doesn't have it but it's included in the Tippmann A5 box.Couple things I noticed is that the stock is a little wiggly in the back and the hopper covers about 1/3 of the red dot site on the right side but you can still aim through it.Other than that it works great and it was a steal for me since they sell the box itself for $270 over here.

This is a $180 marker being sold with a longer barrel, a smaller hopper and a red dot for close to $400Do some research before you buy, longer barrels will not give you longer ranges or more accuracy for paintball, red dots are hard to use with a mask on and the cyclone is a terrible hopper choice. The "tippmann reliability" is a myth (since 2004 anyway when Ben tippmann left the company and created BT) today these are made with much cheaper materials that are no better than anything else out there in the entry level market.Want to be a sniper? technically it can happen but not with normal paintballs (First strike rounds are the only way and they will not work with this marker). Fields set the velocity limits so a paintball coming out of a 24" barrel will go the same distance as a paintball coming out of an 12" barrel. The reason longer barrels work for firearms is because they will increase the muzzle velocity, but in paintball you can not do this for safety reasons. Once the paintball leaves the barrel it is going a set speed and therefore a set distance, its basic physics.Get on a paintball forum before purchasing, there is tons of information out there you just have to go find it, dont jump into an overpriced marker believing the hallow promises of snake oils and frog legs will give you some mythical edge that doesnt exist

This gun makes you feel cool.I love it.The gun has never needed anything replaced/changed on it.Added an Etrigger which is amazing.Overall though if you want all kinds of upgrades on this gun I would HIGHLY recommend looking on craigs or pbnation and see if someone is selling it with all the upgrades already. Likely could get it for about what this costs new.Buying all the pieces brand new is much more expensive.Red dot sight, unneeded.ODD but they show an m4a1 stock attached the gun but is not included....Get it, great gun!

This gun is great. It showed up in good condition and is very accurate. If you are going to buy this gun I would suggest that you also buy a hopper offset since the hopper blocks part of the red dot. Also, I would recommend that you buy a remote coil because the tank is almost as long as the butt stock. The tank also adds alot of wieght to the gun and throws of the guns balance. I recommend this gun to anyone who plays woodsball.
