4X4 Off Road Bridging Ladders Waffle Boards (1220x310x38, Green)

These are the sort of thing you buy hoping never to have to use, true to form I have not used them, but they are really heavy and appear very well made. We have bought them for use with our front wheel drive motorhome that gets stuck if the grass is so much as damp; we have lighter weight grips for grass, but wanted something for Glasto mud and sandy beach parking. The general consensus is that these boards are the bees knees in waffle bridging boards, taking the weight of large 4x4's when only supported at each end, so the use we might put them to is mild in comparison. These boards are for sale on other dedicated sites for up £100 per pair which makes this price very competitive, the only reason I can see for this is that they do look like they have been cut down from a bigger sheet as there is some scarring on one edge of each, but this in no way will affect the performance of them. One face has very gritty non slip that should provide good grip for getting the wheels onto the boards. In mud, I guess the hole pattern will fill up and make them very heavy and also dirty to handle/store, but if they work as expected this is a small price to pay.

I've had these some years now and they do the job. First got them to use with a Nissan Tarrano long wheel base, which aren't light. They flexed but not to much. Are ruff surfaced for grip which helps. Heavy. I mention this just as a mention as I find this good as they don't move about and bed in on soft ground, so they don't "flick" out the back, on soft ground anyway. You can get them in different lengths and colours I believe.

Sunk my motorhome a few times on soft ground and now that I'm getting a new one I decided it would be prudent to buy a pair of these. So not used them yet and hopefully will not have to. They are quite heavy but very sturdy and I have no doubt they will do what's expected off them. Wish I'd bought them years ago when I was into 4x4 off roading and before I sunk my old motorhome.

Can't bettered for service and usage

We bought these as our motorhome can sink if the ground is slightly soft, we did have to have the motorhome towed off a couple of places because of sinking and lack of traction, so we did have to cut them down to the size of a normal grip mat as they are really heavy! It has made them easier to handle though. They are great as we park the front wheels on these, you can still put the levelling ramps on top of them but they stop the tyres/levelling ramps from sinking and has stopped us getting bogged into a 'rut'. Would definitely recommend this if you camp in places without hardstanding and you have enough weight allowance as it has saved us now from being towed off!
