Scotch is the BEST brand of thermal pouches, but there are some cheaper ones that work well in a small laminator. I am thrilled with how they are a bit staticky and help small pieces of paper stay in place as you prep them to go into the machine. The thickness is excellent (I wouldn't get the 5m), and can make a sign or student activity for my classroom that will last for years. Great for my kindergarten class to use and abuse! My hands-on activities are safe and will not peel apart! They are now my favorite teacher helper! If you look at the price, these are actually cheaper as you get a higher count box. If you'll be using a lot of them, get the big box and save money!
