ISTMP01 Smartphone Monopod - Retail Packaging - Black

I just recently received my iStabilizer monopod. I was super excited and anxious. Once I opened it, I checked out the small rubber piece that everyone keeps talking about. On the reviews that I read, everyone talked about how you can lose it easily. So I made a solution. Once I took a few photos and videos, which turned out awesome, I took my industrial glue (e600) and glued the rubber piece onto the mount. The next day, it was glued securely on to the mount. Problem solved! Even though it took a little bit of effort to fix the design flaw, I still rate it a five because it is portable, durable and super fun to use! I might buy the XL mount soon so my husband can use it on his galaxy note 3.

The product is light and folds small enough to fit in my purse, which is perfect! It extends easily, is light weight but sturdy. It works perfectly. However, I didn't think about it not fitting my new iPhone 6. The info states it goes to 2 3/4" wide. So, without the cover, it fits my iPhone 6. But with the cover (which is just the Otterbox lite thin cover), the holder does not extend wide enough. I will give this one to my son for use with his GoPro, and find another monopod that works with my iPhone 6.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 4 phone and I have the simple rubber cover that goes around it. The clamp/holder holding the phone is to small to hold the phone whit the protective cover on it. I have to remove it; which subjects it to falling out of the holder and damaging the phone; this is not good. When the cover is removed the holder still has a problem clamping around the phone. If it is not set just right it will squeeze the phone out of the holder. This happen once fortunately I was in the house and it landed on the carpet. Now I will have to consider buy another holder attachment or risk my phone popping out of the holder. By the way the little rubber device on to of the holder has popped off and got lost. The stick seems fine & thats the only reason I gave it 3 stars.

I take product videos at trade shows and I couldn't make it down one aisle or film one video without someone asking me about this. There is a noticeable difference in the decrease in shake when using it (although it's not completely gone), as well as it's easy to raise and angle to get up and over the crowds. I added some self-adhesive velcro to the fronts of the black bars that would be exposed to your screen and the bottom of the metal adjustment mechanism to prevent any damage or accidental knocking (I could also be paranoid.) It's great that I can remove the phone holder and screw it into any other tripod/gorillapod I have.The one star off is because the black rubber grip that you use to pull up on the metal mechanism when inserting your phone easily slides out and gets lost in the bottom of my camera bag. It is very difficult to use this when you don't have the grip on because the metal lifting mechanism will more than likely crash down on your phone if you don't use the utmost care and are sitting down. The rubber grip also works as a way to hold your phone in place when moving around, so your phone slides out MUCH easier without it.I suggest spending 5-10 minutes with this and taking photo/video and see where it is most comfortable for you to hold and with the greatest decrease in shake. In the beginning I was holding this just by the handle grip, but noticed this still created a lot of shake in the videos. I found that if I used two hands, one on the designated grip and one on the metal body, worked the best for me.Overall a great price and great tool to have.

I have very few pictures of my husband and I together when we are on trips alone and the typical selfies never come out as nice as I would like. We went on our 20 year anniversary trip and I decided to purchase one of these so I could hopefully get some pics together. After the initial feeling silly for holding and using it, I love it! It worked just fine with my Samsung Stratsophere cell phone...it was secure and stable and I was able to use the timer on my phone to take the pics. I am feeling less silly pulling this out in public places now that I am seeing more and more people using selfie sticks. I highly recommend this selfie stick for an affordable option to the ones with the remote built in.

This product should not bear the misleading name iStabilizer as it's not a stabilizer, simply a smartphone monopod. It's plastic so only time will tell how it holds up.Others here warned that the plastic rubber on top can easily get lost, and they were right: Mine fell off despite very careful handling within days, making the clip much harder to use, and probably cannot return it now anymore.The clip does not hold modern phones like the Lumia 1020; it does not open far enough.At $25 the stick is overpriced in my opinion. The week after I ordered is I saw a sale of 2 different selfie stickies including 2 bluetooth remotes for $9 (and free shipping) elsewhere, maybe different quality, but same clip head. The price is probably my biggest complain with the built quality in mind. I do regret this purchase.

It wouldn't be surprising if the Monopod hurts DSLR sales. It's incredibly useful - not only for selfies, but for panoramic shots and video as well!There is also a 'cool' factor with having one of these. Although they are gaining momentum, the Monopod is not yet widespread, and for the most part you will still get odd looks from people and tourists all around you!The Monopod itself is quite tough and sturdy. I bring it along in my bag full of books to college every single day and it has yet to bend or form a dent. Excellent quality, I must say.In any case, delivery was immaculate. Ordered the item, and received it just a week later (ordered from US, delivered to UK). Packaging is designed to prevent any damage to the Monopod itself, as it is completely surrounded by packaged air.

Use it on the spur of the moment - great for selfy and selfy vids - actually keeps it steady and wide shots. Not for the dizzy...

Quelques précisions car je trouve la description pas assez complète.Longueur max 94cm, min 30 cm (sans compter le support du tel)Sinon je précise qu'un iPhone 6 avec une coque silicone rentre bien, contrairement à ce que suggère la description.Le tout paraît assez solide, on verra à l'usage. En tout cas le tel est bien maintenu et on n'a pas peur qu'il tombe (heureusement !)

Ich war von dem Monopod sehr positiv angetan. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, wie auch die verwendeten Materialien. Beim Öffnen der Arretierung ist etwas Kraft nötig, aber das ist aus meiner Sicht ganz in Ordnung. Kinder könnten sich dabei schon etwas schwer tun - vielleicht auch garnicht schlecht so.Aus meiner Sicht eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

El precio puede parecer caro si se compara con sus competidores chino, pero ese precio que se paga de más tiene sus ventajas:- El material es mucho más resistente y ligero- Una vez el palo extendido, este no se dobla debido al peso del teléfono- Incorpora un sistema para que cuando el palo está extendido, este no se gire debido al peso del teléfono- El soporte para colocar el teléfono es el más seguro que he visto hasta ahora, nada que ver con las pinzas que traen los palos chinos. Este punto es el más importante ya que podemos estar 100% seguros que nuestro teléfono no va a salir volando mientras utilizamos el paloEn conclusión, más caro que el resto pero su precio bien merece todas sus ventajas
