MY THIRD TOGUARD DASHCAM!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This in my review of the To guard integrated rear view mirror dash cam with wired rear view camera model CE60. In case you went to the video before reading the review, please know that Amazon does not provide hi res videos so I uploaded a higher res version on the popular online video site to show a better idea of the video quality.I love the Toguard rear view mirror dash cams with built in video touch screens and this is my third one! I bought my first one primarily to install on a rental car for a trip to Italy last year and then put it on my own car when I returned home. My wife then wanted one for her car and our son now has his own car and we thought it would be a good idea to put one on his car too so purchased this new model, which has a high def resolution (1080p/720p) on both the front and rear cameras. I decided to put this new one on my own car and give him the one from my car with the lower resolution rear camera.Integrating the camera and DV recording functions into the mirror makes it appear as if it is just part of the car. The unit easily attaches over the cars original rearview mirror using elastic bands and is powered by a regular 12 volt power plug that connects directly in to an available cigarette type power port. It is easy to route the wires using the included plastic tool to lift up the cars molding and rubber stripping when hiding the power and rear-view camera wires. My car is leased, so to avoid drilling a hole in the sheet metal, I always install the rear-view camera inside on the back window using the included double-sided foam tape. I think it is safer too since it seems less likely to get damaged if getting rear ended, but the rear camera is weather proof and certainly can be installed outside if preferred. All of our cars already have back up cameras built-in. For those who don’t, it is possible to make the rear camera activate automatically when the car is placed in reverse and display on the mirrors built in screen. It simply requires attaching the red wire to back up light wiring. But this unit (unlike our others), in addition to powering on the device when starting the car, will automatically display the rear camera view by default, displaying the rear view on the screen whenever the car is started. This can provide an automatic backup assist in most cases without relying on connecting the backup wires. And it is also a simple matter to activate the video display by merely touching the mirror glass. The settings menu provides timed options for how long the camera view remains on the display before automatically shutting off to act as a mirror while the device continues to record.Video as (well as audio if desired), is recorded to a micro SD card that you provide. I have been using 64 Gig cards and getting several hours of recording time without any issues though I see they support 32 gig SD. The .mov files are named using time and date, with an “F” or “R” to indicate which camera. Each camera’s files are stored in a separate folder. Files triggered by the G SHOCK sensing (when set to “on”) are stored in their own folder. Videos can be viewed on the built in 10 inch screen which is virtually the entire width of the mirror. The device is nearly identical in size to my car’s factory mirror. The camera slides out of the housing to clear the cars original mirror and can be tilted to adjust the viewing angle separate from the mirror.Operation is simple and intuitive. Starting the vehicle will power on the device (dependent on power source) and it will immediately display the rear-view camera and begin recording. A “long press” of the power button on the bottom of the unit will power the unit off if desired. The touch screen display will automatically go off and become a normal mirror after a preprogrammed time the user selects in the settings menu. Or a short press of the power button will also turn off the display. When the display is on, a series of buttons appear along the bottom. The center red button will turn the recording function on and off. It must be in “off” to enter he menu and DVR. The menu is where resolution, time, date and other basic settings are set. The DVR is where the files are stored for viewing directly on the mirrors build in video display. Of course the SD card can be removed to use on a computer. There is also a button to switch between front and rear cameras and the far right button can be used to lock the files from being over written. The video quality from both cameras is excellent and captures low light conditions better than other cameras I have used. And the image “angle” of the rear view camera can be adjusted by dragging on the display to customize the view. The unit can accept an optional GPS unit which the manual says can capture and display speed and direction information. There is a “Parking Monitoring” function in the settings that also requires something additional to work. According to the manual, it will enable the device to automatically turn on and begin recording in the event its sensor detects shaking movement when the vehicle is turned off. I presume TOGUARD can supply those options.Dash cams are important to capture video in the event of an accident, but we have at times captured animals crossing the road (Coyotes and turkeys) as well as on one occasion an accident that occurred to a vehicle ahead of us. Ours have operated silently and reliably. In my opinion, no car should be without one and I have been very impressed with the three Toguard models I have purchased. Five stars!

Great Value for the Price
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Installation for the front camera is very simple, just wrap the bands around your existing mirror. The rear camera comes with screws and adhesive. I used screws to attach it to the plastic next to my license plate. The camera is designed to be mounted under a horizontal surface (picture attaching it underneath a shelf). But can be mounted on a vertical surface (this is how mine is mounted), although the mount is at its limit for downward adjustability. The field of view is still good for recording though. The cable for the rear camera was about 3 feet short of what I needed. I have a full-size pickup with 5.5 ft bed. Most cars and SUVs shouldn’t have an issue with the length. I was able to get a 2.5mm extension cable with 4 poles to make it work. This dash camera has worked very well for me. I upgraded from Toguard’s 7” mirror dashcam. The recording quality is much improved on the front and rear cameras. This mirror is smaller than the 7” mirror. I really got used to the extra width of the mirror. This one is closer to the size of a standard rearview mirror. Since it is smaller, the camera has to protrude from the side. But those are minor issues for me.The camera has a much faster boot-up time than the 7” and has options for screen shut-off of 10s, 30s, or 60s. I like that it turns the screen off quickly so I can use the mirror without needing to manually turn it off. I also like that the display doesn’t distort the video to get all of the frame on the screen. Instead it lets you pan to the position you want it by swiping up or down. Both cameras are capable of recording in 1080p but the camera only lets you record one in 1080 and the other in 720.After a few days of using it, when first turned on, the screen was very dim and once it turned off, I could not get the screen to come back on. So I contacted customer support and they were fantastic. They told me that swiping left and right on the screen would adjust the brightness, so I was able to get the screen brighter and everything was working fine. It turns out that if the brightness was set too low, the screen would not come back on. I let them know about it and they updated the firmware and sent me a new version that same day. If you do have this camera, check the firmware version. The fixed version is TOGUARD-CE60-20190321. Or just don’t adjust the brightness all the way down. There are some features of the camera that are locked without a special hardwire kit (such as Parked Mode). I had really hoped to try them out and see if they were better than the 7” version. I have the hardwire kit now but need to install it. I will update once installed and tested. It can be found here. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q5Y43LVEdit: The hardwire kit unlocks the parking mode that will record a time lapse for 12 or 24 hours or until the next time it is powered on. You can choose 1, 2, or 5 frames per second. I have it set to 1 frame per second. It is nice having the constant recording in front and back in case something does happen when it’s parked.Overall this is a great camera for the price. The controls and functions are intuitive and easy to use.I think Amazon compresses uploaded video, so I've included screenshots of video playback to give you a better idea of how it looks.

a few things keep this from being perfect
this is a great product. Excellent quality and the full screen back camera is infinity better than a standard rear view camera. Installation is easy enuf. I have the back camera mounted inside the car as I did not want to drill holes in my car.Now the bad. The front camera extends to the left and in my field of view rather than to the right on the passenger side. Next, the SD card installs on the top of the unit requiring the mirror to be removed to access it. It would have been better on the bottom. Also, using the camera during the day has proven difficult on sunny days. Too much glare and the screen doesn't get bright enough to cut thru. But, when that happens I just use the mirror as a standard mirror. The camera will still record. Those two thins aside, it's a great value. full screen picture rather than those tiny boxes a lot of mirror cams have.

Awesome Camera!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is my second TOGUARD camera. The first one was a 7" model which I still use in one of my vehicles. This new 10" 1080P model is fantastic. Its overall size is smaller which is perfect for most cars. The front camera picture quality is extremely good. Its like is filming a movie! I don't use the backup camera as my vehicle already has a factory one installed. I normally run this camera on a 3 minute continuous loop. I use a 32G micro SD card but a 64G works as well. The customer service is top notch, fast response, very accommodating and understanding. Overall, the camera and customer service is outstanding!

Review after 20 days of use - Incredible camera resolution and features. Confident Driving.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. See pictures of Side by Side Comparison. The real-time streaming for both Front and Rear was the winning feature. Confident Driving, no worry about accident and scams - all on video (front and back). I uploaded a rear camera video. The camera felt like an Apple iPhone in terms of the workmanship and features. First thing you will notice is the full size screen that has no wasted space, all available areas are used for video and the touch screen. The camera is actually smaller and packs more features than older models. The best feature is the real-time dual recording the most, there is no worry if you get rear-ended because the back camera will record the details for police/insurance.The front camera is clear and high definition. No there is lag/pixelation of the video. What you get are high-resolution front and rear. Some cheaper cameras compensate with low resolution and slow frame rate, when you place this camera side-by-side (see my pictures), it becomes obvious what is good and bad.Tips:1. Use a Good Quality, large SD card, I used 128 Gb...this is a hungry camera that can fill lots of space. Don't cheap out on the quality of the SD card.2. Look for a camera that can read small details, this camera passed that test.3. The voice recording picks up the smallest noises, but be careful what you say because it's all on camera.

Dash cam god
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I love this dash cam, it is really the beast I tried. The instalation is super easy and fast. Once you have ajusted your new miror dash cam to see your back window you can ajust the lens of the camera to capture the best possible angles. One of the fear I had whit this type of camera was not to be able to see the cars behind me. However you can easily turn the camera's screen off while recording at night to use it as a high quality miror (as you can see in the pictures the miror is super clear). During the day you can see both the reflection and the camera's image at the same time depending on how far you look (focusing with your eyes). The image quality is ridiculus. During day-time and night-time the image is super clear. I love the huge wide screen of the miror, it looks good and impreses everyone. It is a lot nicer than a small square int the middle of a miror like other models. The light flare is minimal at night. The miror is a fingerprint magnet, but very easy to clean and you almost never need to touch it after the first complete set-up.I DEFENITLY recommend this dash cam!!!!

Great Quality Dashcam!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Only had this camera for a few days but its one of the best ones I've had. Great quality and large coverage area. The videos saved are well organized and you can easily find the Front and Rear camera videos on the SD card. The rear camera is really great quality as well, but I haven't properly mounted it yet to post the video sample. Overall great purchase and much higher quality than others listed.

Dashcam delivers what I'm looking for
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was looking for a dashcam that can record front and back of vehicle in an unobtrusive way and this product delivers. First the product arrives in a premium black box that is quite substantial. The set up was a breeze once you get yourself a micro SD card. The first thing I noticed when I turn this thing on is how fast (almost instantly) the camera starts recording. If I turn the device off or the display off, the screen becomes a mirror. Good design as I set up the display to auto-shut off after a few minutes. Grabbing the files is easy too. Just take out the micro SD card and read the file off it. The videos are high resolution and you can clearly identify the license plates of the passing vehicles. I was a little worried about the back camera being shaky but the video turned out to be quite smooth. Must have video stabilization applied to it. Overall speaking I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great value and everything you need in a dash cam!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is my second dash cam, and I can honestly say the Toguard CE60 is a superior product. You can easily see the quality difference in the attached side-by-side comparison pictures. Installation over the front rear-view mirror is simple and quick. All of the necessary parts come in the package, including stick-on cable hooks so you can neatly organize the wiring. Everything was long enough to run inside the car, plug through the cigarette lighter in my trunk, and hide all the cables. I choose to install the rear camera on the outside, just above the license plate and set the resolution to full 1080p in order to get a nice wide-angle view.Configurable auto turn-off of the front display is convenient, and the mirror quality is perfect. The previous cam I had had a slight warp which was mildly distracting, but not this one. The features on the touch screen cover everything needed and then some. You can slide left/right to adjust brightness, quickly rotate the front/rear view in full screen, and sliding your finger up/down even adjusts the field of view. Combine that with an independently moving camera lens and you can easily position the recording and viewing options to your personal preference. On top of the excellent product, customer service has been quick and on-point. For the couple of questions I had, they were extremely friendly and knowledgable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this product to anyone or try anything else made by Toguard.
