Bought this for my 1972 Smith Corona Coronet 12 (thrift shop lucky find). I've moved the typewriter into my kitchen and am typing not quite daily, but very frequently. I've run the ribbon and reversed it at least 10 times and it's still functioning beautifully. Very pleased to have this option for my new (old) typewriter. Will buy again.There is something compelling - or demanding - about the sound of the typing. Especially, in the kitchen where surfaces reflect the already loud sound. The sound obliterates anything from the outside world and I can't keep my eyes from the page as they appear. There is also something very good about watching a stack of paper grow larger as I write more. Love typewriters...

Worked for my Smith Corona Silent Portable
This spool has more ink than the average spool; I know this because I suck at changing my typewriter ribbon, and it was all over my hands. Haha. Honestly, it’s a great ribbon that was easy to change, and the type is beautiful and clear. It's hard finding a good typewriter ribbon in the modern age. This was sold at a good price, and was exactly what I was looking for.

cheap but good product
had to rewind this ribbon onto the smaller spools of my Smith-Corona Skywriter (early 50s vintage), but works great! the ink left a good impression, and was clear and definitive - not a bad deal, consider the outrageous cost of inkjet printer ink - i'm going back to manual typing! absolutely wonderful for love letters, thank-you notes, and correspondence (make you look kinda crusty!):-)

Not bad! It could have been a bit more inky but overall I was thrilled to find out these still existed! It fit well on my 1950s Smith Corona Silent Super.

Ribbon
The ribbon and the spools fit perfectly and this is a type writer that was made in 1935. They were easy to install and the typing looks great.
