Spirit Of Leadership

Wow! This book blew my mind!! I had to read it for a college Leadership course and my life has been changed for the BETTER as a result!! If you have read a lot of leadership books by Dr John Maxwell, then be prepared to be challenged with new revelation. Dr Munroe helps the reader understand God’s original reason for WHY He had to create man and man’s mandate. This book tackles two very different concepts: (1) the spirit of leadership vs (2) the leadership spirit. I really had to focus on the subtle difference between these two concepts and Dr Munroe goes to great lengths to lay it out. Even so, it was still challenging for me to absorb especially because this was a totally new concept to me. The revelation shared by Dr Munroe in this book is deep and awe-inspiring! I will need to re-read it a couple more times for it to go deeper. In the last 200-600 Christian books I’ve read, this one for sure is #1 as the most revelatory and impactful. The teaching really helped me to understand God’s leadership mandate for humankind and that every single person has a mandate to be a leader! But get this book to have your mind challenged that we are not to force our leadership over other people!! It’s a mind-boggling concept that he exquisitely unravels!!

The Spirit of Leadership is full of timeless principles from Dr. Myles Munroe and is an easy read. I love that he included the leadership virtues at the end of the book for easy meditation. Tsc

Attitude is the key to effective leadership: a different spirit like that of Caleb in a multifaceted way within the context of our marriages families and communities encapsulates the emphasis of this book. As long as our attitudes are informed by the HolyGhost based on God’s word and purpose for our lives… we will exhibit and succeed in our leadership. An excellent work and worth rereading until our subconscious minds becomes one in thought and spirit with God’s will for our lives!!

Dr Munroe takes a fresh, thought-provoking unorthodox approach to the subject of leadership. He argues that "In every follower there is a hidden leader" and that the hidden leader will emerge when two things happen. 1. The follower understands that they have The Leadership Spirit (inherit capacity to lead by virtue of being created in the image of God) 2. The follower learns The Spirit of Leadership (the mindset and attitudes of a true leader) I particularly liked the fact that he didn't end the book without covering the 10 attitudes that a true leader needs. I found those to be very helpful and actionable. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's overly long. It starts out strong, drags in the middle and ends strong. I recommend this book along with the accompanying 12 DVD set available. Both the book and the DVDs are great resources.

Learned so much about leadership from reading this wonderful book, especially as it relates to one's attitude. I really have to start paying close attention to mine. I didn't know before now that my attitude can affect my leadership skills. Glad I read this book. God bless you Dr. Munroe for writing this book. Maureen.

Inspired and very good

I wish I had known this truth at a young age, I would have been on a different level now. We are born for a greater purpose than paying bills and then dying. We are kings and queens unaware of our God-given worth. The truth makes you free indeed. Jesus was right

Ok! I’ll start this review by telling you all of us that this marvellous man GOD, it is the most precious gift that I ever came across in my self-identified and developing mind. I strongly believe and recommend that it is A MUST READ BOOK 📕. Like almost everything in my life I discover late. But I’m still young enough to create what the creator wants me to create. This book shows that all humans were created to be leaders. It challenges us to develop the leadership spirit and serve humanity. It has a very different perspective from most other leadership views but it is a very refreshing view that we should embrace.
