Works great!
We moved to Texas this summer and it was so hot that the a/c ran all day. We were paying $500/month to cool our 2-story home. I could tell the heat upstairs was coming through the windows so I started looking for a thin insulation I could Velcro over the windows to help. When I saw the video of another pleased customer who used it to insulate the roof of their metal roof workshop. The video showed them using a heat thermometer gun to measure the temperature and it was 20 degrees cooler on the roof the insulation was on compared to the other side without the insulation. I wanted to give it a try. It was more expensive than some of the other stuff but I didn’t want bubble wrap insulation. So I bought a 100 ft roll and put it on the windows upstairs in a few rooms. I also put thermometers in those rooms and they were 5 degrees cooler than the room I didn’t put it in and I noticed my a/c running less therefore my power bill dropped $100. It paid for itself in the first month. Now with winter coming we will see if it also help to keep the heat in.

VERY EFFECTIVE!!!!
I bought this to insulate my windows & doors. Let me just say that this is a VERY GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT!! I decided to spend the extra money & go with the 5 mm thickness & I'm VERY HAPPY WITH IT!!! The temperature in my house has gone down at least 8°F since Installing the insulation. I am very happy with the overall value.I can say it is very heat resistant because I am also using it to insulate the exhaust from one of my inside Portable AC units & with it on there, you CAN NOT FEEL ANY HEAT COMING FROM THE EXHAUST HOSE.It is pretty easy to manuver to cut to size. It actually has pretty good sound insulation considering it's not the thickest available. I also did not have any issues with using adhesive on it. I really like the material it's made out of.I highly recommend that you spend a little money NOW to SAVE A LOT, LOT, LOT MORE MONEY 💰💰💰 down the road!!!!

Helps regulate temperature
We travel full time in our fifth wheel and these are great to put in the poorly insulated windows. It helps keep the inside cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. I did knock off a star because the width is a bit off, measures to 47 5/8” and our windows are 48” so it turned out to not be as snug fitting as I was expecting them to be.

Semi-ridged and good quality
Used to cover two 8'X8' exterior basement doors that tend to be drafty. Using two lengths taped together with the recommended AL foil tape, and stapled onto the door frame, resulted in a solid vapor barrier with no drafts coming through. Found the extra thickness of this foam to help with its rigidity, especially when attaching it to the door frame. The only negative is that the outer foil layer is somewhat fragile. If you try to pull up tape once it contacts the foil, the foil will come up as well. Regardless, I highly recommend this product.

Incredible
I needed insulation in a structure that I'm using as an office and didn't want to deal with fiberglass and all the mess that goes with that. I figured I would give this a try. Don't hesitate, this stuff is incredible. It's thin and light, reflective on both sides, and it's all in one - nothing else needed. No vapor barrier needed, nothing. We literally unrolled it and stapled it up, cut where needed and used aluminum tape for some corners. And you could tell it worked after just finishing the ceiling portion. Once the walls were done as well, you could really tell. It was 10 degrees last night and it was comfortable in the building. Turned on a small heater and the space heated up within 10 minutes. I'm actually sort of blown away, it's so good that we ordered more to do another space and we will use the leftovers in a chicken coop that we are building. It doesn't smell, doesn't tear, is waterproof, rodent proof, mold proof...but mostly EASY to install. It took two 100 foot rolls to do the entire 288 square foot space. Just cut it with scissors or a blade where needed, easy to get around electrical outlets. Easy to hold overhead while stapling it to the ceiling. I'll never buy fiberglass again.

This thing just works.
I full time RV on a 3 season trailer, and used this on my huge glass windows to push me through winter because my 1500 Watt space heater couldn't keep up below freezing temps, and wanted to save a bit on propane.First impressionsWithout this, you can feel the chill from the windows within just one foot of them. With this - you don't.So I did a simple experiment (See image)I applied two layers of this to 3 of 4 windows just to measure what one makes. My 1500 watt heater would plateau at about 78 degrees with 40 degree weather. After applying a double layer to the remaining window, there were immediate results as the temperature went from 78 to 82. Mind you - this was happening as the temperature outside was still dropping from 40 to 35. So if this makes this much of a difference with one 2'X2.5' window, I can only imagine 4.The circle on the first image represents the inside temp when this took place. The circle on the second represents that the OUTSIDE temp was declining at the same time (I'd say about 3-4 degrees or so). Conclusion -These things will pay for themselves in propane/fuel costs within days. Can't wait to test them against my Air Conditioner during hot summer days.If this helps anyone, I'll post an update with those results.
