The original 120W ASUS power adapter that came with my ASUS N56VZ-DS71 laptop broke down years ago and I immediately replaced it with a generic 90W adapter. Unbeknownst to me at the time, the replacement's power output was not enough to to fully satisfy the power hungry i7 CPU. ASUS advises that the 90W adapter goes with the i5 models of this laptop, whereas the i7 models ship with 120W adapter. I was unaware of this particular detail until my laptop started shutting off unexpectedly & repeatedly. The way I use my laptop has changed and my tasks started becoming more power demanding, and that's when the 90W adapter's flaws started to surface.I started researching the problem to find out why my laptop was shutting off during CPU- & GPU-intensive tasks. I immediately discovered that I needed to buy 120W adapter instead of the 90W replacement that I had. I then figured: Why not go with the maximum power output that I can find which fits my laptop's DC-in Jack? As long as it's safe & compatible, I'll be fine. In comes this adapter, the +PWR 180W. As soon as I received the package, I could instantly tell that I was holding a quality product . The packaging was elegant, the 'brick' itself is made with very high quality materials. Both the power socket & DC tip fit tightly & extremely well in the respective holes.I tested the brick under extremely power hungry tasks where the laptop's fans were going very loud. The brick itself was hardly warm, surprisingly, and the shutting off issues has completely disappeared. I don't mind that the adapter is dense & bulky; it has to be given that it supports up to 180W. My 7 year old laptop's ability to handle extreme tasks has actually gotten better (faster) now that it gets all the power it needs. I feel like this is the adapter that should have shipped with my laptop originally (yes, even instead of the original 120W one). I don't know whether the laptop is actually using more than 120W with this new adapter, but I'm loving the performance gains & stability so far. 5 stars from me! Highly recommended if it's compatible with your laptop!

I bought this to replace the broken power brick of my daughter's Asus EEEEEEP netbook. Her old one failed and it broke her little heart, but when she got the new one it filled her with great happiness.Enough word fluff. Bottom line it's a quality product that we've been using hard for several months and it has served its purpose admirably. She's not very gentle on her equipment, and it has held up well and still works without a hitch. The company was very good about answering my questions and the delivery was very fast.I went and bought a couple more of different models from Pwr+ and they have all worked out well. I have and will recommend Pwr+ to anyone looking for an affordable quality PSU replacement.

This replacement charger does exactly what it claims to do and does it well. I was really bummed when I broke my original charger by plugging it in the wrong way (it had a polarized tip and I shoved it in the wrong way without realizing it until it was too late). Anyway, I figured no problem, I'll go to the store, buy a replacement, and get my computer up and running again. Not so - none of the replacement chargers available at the big box stores would work for my little netbook (Asus T101MT). I was a little wary when I found this one on Amazon because of the lack of success I'd had with three other attempts, but I was very happy to see it works with my machine perfectly! I've had it for a few months now and it works just as good as the original and, thankfully, is just as light and easy to carry around.As as side note, for anyone else with an Asus T101MT, this one has a three prong plug, not a two-prong like the original. But I guess it's better because it will prevent me from making the same mistake again. :)

This is the second time I have purchased this product.If you are looking for a replacement AC adapter for your ASUS netbook, this product appears to be of decent quality and value, especially for the price. The product I received looks as pictured with the right angle plug. The plug itself is a few millimeters longer than the depth of the power jack on my 1000H, so it visibly sticks out a bit but does not affect the usage in the least as it still clicks securely into place. The power brick contains a blue power LED which is always nice if you're trying to determine if the corner coffee shop has disabled their outlets, as some have been prone to do. As used in my bedroom, it is almost unnoticeable at night - if it bothers you, you can simply turn the brick upside down to smother the light.I initially jumped on to the netbook bandwagon a few years ago. While the portability was a definite plus, I found the keyboard cramped, the processor insufficient, and the battery's longevity to be lacking beyond the first year, so I decided to repurpose my 1000H into an always-on ~9 watt network file server. This adapter powers my netbook and a USB cooling fan 24/7, with the occasional portable hard drive via USB, and I have no power issues to report so far in such a demanding application.The originally supplied power brick died within the first two years. I replaced it with an older version of this same product (with a straight plug and a green power LED), but it died within the first year of ownership with a ticking sound, indicating an internal short. Even though the older version lasted for just a year, I won't complain because the price is low enough to happily warrant a replacement.I'm still giving this product 5 stars despite my experience with the older version because it's that good a value for the money.
