SonyTCM-929 Pressman Desktop Cassette Recorder with Automatic Shut-Off

I searched the web to find something that I could use to record the songs that I receive. I needed something quick and easy to use. I have gone through countless CD/Cassette players that break down within a year. Plus, to find one now that has a built in mic is almost impossible, so I was very happy to find this product.I have only had it for a few weeks, but so far it has been a God-sent. The minute I hear a song forming within my mind I can quickly grab the unit, flip it on and I'm set to go. Great! No more lost songs floating around the atmosphere but now they are safe on my cassette until I am ready to transfer them.It is also great to use during church meeting when you want to be able to record either the sermon or some other happening so you can reflect back on it at a later time.My granddaughter had fun recording her voice the other day and other sounds as well.....This little guy has countless uses and it is sturdy, well made and very easy to use. I like it and will write another review in a year and let you know how well it held up to the often use it will definitely receive.

I purchased this item fifteen (15) years ago, and it has been living up to its expectation. You can either use it to play those old tapes from back in the day or use it as a radio. It is a nice durable piece by Sony, and I had chosen this item, because I found Sony brand to be one of my most trusted for electronics. It worth every buck I had ever invested in buying it . You will never regret this purchase if you’re looking for a radio that picks up AM and FM frequency and play your traditional tapes, it does those function I mentioned. Happy Purchase!!

I had an old sony cassette player which eventually played. I purchased a new sony cassette recorder and player. On the playback of the tapes, there is a clicking noise constantly which is a nuisance when listening to what I recorded. I am disappointed with this product since I paid a much higher price then some of the other recorder. The clicking noise is is disruptive. The recording quality is good.

The recorder was advertised as being tested and in good working condition, but I could not press the Record button down at all (I know to also press the Play button at the same time, but the Record button would not budge). I tried to play a tape, but the Play button would not remain engaged. When I tried to hold the button down, the machine tried to eat the tape. No one ever tested this machine. The company did, however, refund my money without argument.

The media could not be loaded. My Sony TCM 929 is in excellent condition minus a few scratches and dents. It plays and records excellently and sounds amazing even on the default speaker. Every feature works as described, 10/10 would buy again if I needed a second unit.

It is a quality item from a quality source. The price is low. It is small enough to fit almost anywhere. The sound quality is excellent. The two problems I have are as follows. the instructions say to disconnect the plug from the power source,I have never heard of that before. It is a bit noisy in a quiet bedroom you can hear the tape spinning.

I was delighted to get this Sony cassette recorder, ordered to replace my old broken one. The used one I ordered arrived in excellent condition -- it was clean, looked almost new, and functions well. I compliment the seller on the pains taken.
