Very impressed. Make sure your settings are correct before you bash on this sub.
For the person who wants to add a little thump to their car:Some of us don't want mirror-rattling bass. Some of us just want some hard thuds on our back when we listen to our music. Let me tell you, I've done EXTENSIVE research. I began as a clueless beginner, and studied voltages, efficiency ratings, how RMS and peaks work, etc. Everyone told me this sub (250W) RMS wasn't enough. For the person who wants to add a little thump to their car, AND some kickin'!:Baby they are wrong. I used this, with the suggested 1100 Watt BOSS Audio Amplifier, and a 4 gauge wiring kit (just to be safe). With that setup (costed me only $140 for this sub/amp/extras) it will not only give you that satisfying thud on your back, but it KICKS! I only have it in a 0.85 cubic foot volume enclosure (I have a Mini Cooper--small trunk) and this thing is AWESOME. No wiring problems, and I used a simple $20 Line-Out Converter to hook up to my factory radio.Excellent sub. If you buy the suggested setup (with the 1100 watt BOSS Audio amplifier) make sure you test both input sensitivities. Many stock radios have low output voltages, and if it's set on 2v-8v it will seem as if the sub barely works. If your stock head unit is lower than 2 volts (most are) then set it to 100mv-2v and you will be rocking. This here is one happy Civil Engineer!

Hits hard for a Cheap Price.
All of my friends are impressed by these subs, (I have 2 of the 12's in a custom box). They are obviously just meant to add a little bump to your ride, and provide a good clean bass, but with a little amplification, and a sweet custom box, these inexpensive, and well made little 12's rattle my entire car to the bone. (I've had to tighten the screws in my doors and on my plates!!) The best thing is, even when they are amped up fairly high, the bass is FOR THE MOST PART, really clean sounding. (this depends on your amplifier tuning and etc.) If you can install these puppies with clean, professional wiring connections, a decent amp, and a box that will really amp your sound, these things will surpass any expectations anyone could have. I know I'm going to stick with these subs for a good while before I upgrade.

Great Product for ~$45 -- Significant Improvement over Boss CX-12
I am running the TS-W304R on a Powerbass ASA 200.2x in a sealed 1.7 ft^3 box.The bass is plenty strong to match my cheap Pioneer HU and speakers--this is with the box facing backwards at the very rear of the trunk with seats that cannot lay down. While the bass is sufficient in this setup, I am confident that it would be far louder in a car with collapsible seats.I previously ran a Boss CX-12, and the Pioneer is a moderate improvement. The Pioneer plays better than the Boss at lower frequencies. Playing music 40hz and above the Pioneer is equal to the Boss at lower volume levels, but the Pioneer sounds much more euphonious than the Boss at higher volumes.

BEST bang for the buck, better than kicker imo
Well let's start with the 400watt rms & 1,300watt ratting now I have tried this 12" in a single sealed box probably a bit to small for this subwoofer, and ive hadRockford fosgate 300.1. Bassy but not clearAlpine 400watt 2ch the v12 series clean but not alot of bass, a massive audio 250.4 2ohm stable sounded great loud clear but a 4ch amp is ment for doors ectA jbl 501ez & it hit HARD idk if the amp was struggling to push 1,300watts as it's only capable of 879watts peak rms or if I didn't let it adjust fully as it is a eztune ampFinally it's on a ALPiNE 220.2 440watt 2ohm stable little but ALPiNE..... this thing sounds like it wants to blow apart the logic box & I fiberglass reinforced the inside and added polly fill & it's a great box no rattling.... but you can feel the box is almost allowing the sub to hit so hard because it has very little room so the hi's & mids are extremely clear & full but from 80-60 you can't hear it & it plays the 30hz range best for lowz & 45-60 is a very accurate sharp hart jabbing hiIve been doing car audio for 13+ years now and this is by far the best subwoofer next to a duel 2ohm ....And for those who think that 1,300 is bs I put it on my power bass 1ohm by itself so watt 2ohms & it definitely took every watt but it was like pushing a fast car to its limits you never know what & when somthing can break so after 20 minutes it started to get hot but no smell really these will definitely pop running them at or above 1,300watts rms id say get a 750watt ish name brand or a 1,000 watt if you don't care about it & just want a super amount of bass from a resonably priced subwooferUpdate 1 year and still sounds as great as the fist week..... Pioneer is among the best of brand's & choices

Super solid and while it's not the heaviest 12 I've ...
This thing hits hard.Super solid and while it's not the heaviest 12 I've ever hefted it's solid. It mounted without issue in a ported box and has been faithfully thumping away my electronic music. It did not come with a grill which I think would have been nice to provide an additional layer of protection, but that's fine.I'm pushing 400 watts to it, and it does a great job of reproducing low end frequency at low volumes without being overpowering.I really like quiet low end, when I want to listen at low volumes without sacrificing low end, more power is key, this Pioneer handles it just fine. When I want to crank it, it'll happily comply.I'd buy this again any day.
