Big Bang For Your Buck
I purchased this box after reading many of the reviews to see if it was right for me. I happen to be a fan of the Stanley tool boxes as they are sturdy, lightweight, have wide handles which make them easy to transport. I see them as being perfect for lightweight tools, medical supplies, art supplies, or other household project supplies. Being made of plastic, they aren't made for the protection of costly tools because anyone willing to work to break into them may do so--so use your common sense. For my purposes, they work well, they are easy to store and stack and I like them alot. This tool box has plenty of room for a home medical kit, for sewing supplies, etc. I read complaints of people saying it is easy to break into, and that the padlock eyelet is flimsy and small. The padlock hole is normal sized, and will easily fit your usual Masterlock padlock with key. As for being flimsy, some of the Stanley boxes have padlock eyelets which are covered with a layer of metal making them more protective. This 19-inch Tool Box has plastic only padlock eyelets, so like I said, it is for storing items which are not very expensive, and the lock itself is more of a deterrent to keep others out of your business and not to prevent theft. It is an excellent purchase for its price.

Just What I needed
Great little toolbox. I needed something big enough to store often used tools and small enough to keep in a convenient place. This toolbox is just the right size for my purpose. I can keep handy the things I need most often, scissors, pliers, needle nose, cutting tools....well, you know what I mean.I keep it under my desk, nicely tucked out of sight until needed. And I need it a lot. Beats going out to the tool shed every time I need a common tool. (Now where's that vise grip... mumble.. mumble, we all been there.)The tool box is very sturdy, hold the requisite tools, and was reasonably priced. It holds just the right variety of tools, and is light and convenient enough to keep at hand. The only hard part was choosing the tools to put in there... lol. I had a lot of internal debate.Bottom line, I recommended this item if you have a need similar to mine..Stanley STST19005 19-Inch Tool Box

Good tool box for the price
This tool box is good for most uses. The plastic is durable and the interior is spacious even with the shelf kept inside. The only drawback is that the metal clasps sometimes come undone. They don't seem to grab the lid as tightly as they should which may cause the latches to fall. There's been a couple times where I picked up the box from the handle and the lid opened up and spilled the contents. Just something to pay attention to. It's a good tool box for the price.

TREMENDOUSLY well engineerd, inexpensive tool box, no flexing/melting, carry/stack 60 pound loads without a problem
These are outstanding boxes! It sounds silly to think of a well designed cheap plastic tool box but someone really put some good effort in thinking through the construction for low cost but also durability. I own TEN of these and have loaded 6 of them with easily 60-70 pounds of ammunition each and zero failures. They stack three tall staying indexed and aligned without tipping over and there is no visible compression of the plastics over time. I have 2 each in the trunks of my cars in Florida heat and I see zero deformation so they must have used high temperature ABS to avoid this. Again, thank you Mr. Engineer for investing an extra dollar to assure long term life. The handle is engineered extremely well to not pop out when picking up the heavy boxes. The latches are "self-indexing" on plastic support rails so they will not let loose either when picking up as long as they remain latched. There is a simple but nice tongue-in-groove around the perimeter that assures the lid to line up with the box. This sometimes is out of alignment but take a moment to straighten up your internal loads and it lines up easily again. You can tell the Engineer that designed these wanted to own them as well - just a great product for the money!

Not the same as pictured!
The ones I received have little yellow compartments on the lid which makes the inside height lower than the all black box pictured so I can not use them to carry cans of spray paint in them. They are good if you don't need cans of spray paint to fit in them.

I love my new tool box.
All of my tool boxes were shot - I had some that were over 30 years old that I had to part with but when I received this new toolbox I forgot all about those old boxes. This is very handsome, roomy, sturdy and even when it's full it closes fine. Also, it's not as heavy as you would think when it's full of tools. I love my new tool box.

A good value.
Just got the toolbox last week. It was just the right size that I needed. I had outgrown my smaller toolbox and needed a larger one to store all my Bonsai tools and supplies in. One word of caution. The tool box has a strong odor to it when it arrived. (heat sealed in a plastic bag inside the box) I had to leave the box open for a few days in the open air outside, most of the odor has left the box but I still get a whiff of it when I open the box for a moment afterward. If you are chemical sensitive like me, it is probably a better idea to open the box and packaging outside so you don't release the odor inside you living space. The handle is sturdy and so is are the latches. Other than the odor on opening I am completely happy with it and found it very reasonably priced, even with shipping included as part of the cost. There are small 'catches' on the inside of the box to help hold the removable tray (which doesn't span the entire width of the box) in place. I liked that feature very much as it allows me to store stuff that is taller inside the box and still have the tray for smaller items and still be able to close the box and latch it. The tray spans approx. 2/3 rds the width of the box.
