Bought in order to increase my bike's security. It looks and feels like it would resist being cut off with an angle grinder. The other good thing is that one has to put the key in precisely otherwise it will not turn in the lock. I say that I feel it's a good thing because unless you have the key one can't unlock it... so it cannot be removed.

I bought this to close a chain locking up one of my bikes and just received it. I use an Oxford Boss on the other one and I like it, but this one is a little different. The Boss locks with two ball bearings which move smoothly in to round holes on the shank. This lock has two 4mm thick bars which slide in to place in to very close-fitting slots on the shackle. The system seems secure enough, but the slot and bar edges are sharp and so the key quite often seems to get stuck closing and opening. I trust Oxford but the last thing I want is my chain seizing up in poor weather, so as you can see the first thing I did before using it was to put some grease on the interlocking parts - in this case ceramic grease as it is fine, not messy and waterproof. Time will tell but I believe that by regularly cleaning and lubricating the lock I have the best chances of it lasting in all weathers.I also like the plastic ring around the centre of the lock which rotates to cover the keyhole. This is probably much better than most flaps which can easily break off. The lock barrel however is one solid piece, which was something I was unsure about before buying the lock.Incidentally someone mentioned that his lock was cut with a grinder, but even if you cut through one side with a grinder you shouldn't be able to rotate either side, so it would be impossible to remove without cutting through twice. Also unlike many padlocks I doubt that most people could break this lock with a pair of spanners.Oh yes and the lock also comes with 3 keys, which are of a different design to my other Oxford lock keys so that should be helpful too.I think that I am going to like this lock a lot and it's a real bargain at under £17.

Brilliant Disc lock which is not too big and heavy but is solid, strong and will do the job of keeping my motorcycle from being rolled away in an attempted theft. It wont be top kit for this very good price but all locks are vulnerable and as this is thick and hardened it will act as a good deterrent along with other fitted bike protections.

Use this daily for my Motorbike. Good solid lock and looks like an alarm because of the color. Fit and Functionality is great. Does what it's ment to do.Highly recommend to all bikers! We all should have some Security on our bikes. This is definitely a must!

I thought it was maybe a couple lemons or flukes with people commenting about not opening these consistently. It is most certainly not. I used it about 5 times without any issue but since then every other time it seems to get jammed up and the key won’t fit in or turn. I’ve never left it in the rain and it still has seen use less than 20 times. I try everything including jiggling, rotating the lock and key positions, and giving it little taps or twists. I’m writing this after twice in one night this lock got stuck and it took me 30min+ of looking like a complete idiot cursing at this lock to open for it to magically release. My friends and I missed the first part of a movie at the theater because of this and I was also late to the dinner beforehand. This lock found its new home in my dumpster. Skip this lock.

Io lo trovo molto piu pratico di quelli piu blasonati, tu passi il ferro dentro il freno a disco anteriore e blocchi con chiave facilmente il corpo. Poi se parliamo di furti , se un ladro ti vuole portare via lo scooter , il modo alternativo lo trova (ad un mio vicino lo scooter fissato con un bloccadisco pazzesco glielo hanno rubato ben 3 volte), quindi se qualcuno pensa che con i migliori bloccadisci non te lo rubino , pensate veramente male Per questo bloccadisco ritengo lo ritengo un buon prodotto.

When I purchased this lock, I read a review that the purchaser had to have a locksmith cut off the lock. I chalked that up to a fluke or operator error. It is not. I used the key and easily opened the lock. Then I put it on the rotor of my motorcycle, and it took 30 minutes to get the lock off. The keys would not go in right. The key only went in 1/3 of the way. I tried the other two keys and same issue. Through constant jiggling and 30 minutes of frustration, I finally got the lock off. Submitted for a refund and rushed it to the UPS store to be rid of this horrible lock. I'm done with OXFORD locks. I purchased an ABUS lock. They're not cheap but the quality is superior and they work. This lock is a no go. Save yourself, heed the warning.
