Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra 2-in-1 Stick/Handheld Vacuum 12V Cordless, EL1022A

I've owned this vacuum for a copule months now and have to say I'm still impressed with it every time I use it. If you use this vacuum on hardwood or laminate floors and very low pile carpet it works incredibly well. It seems to have more than ample suction and the added headlights are helpful in seeing dirt especially in low light areas. I found it's easier to see and pick up dirt with the room lights turned down or off which allows the headlights to shine across it and make it more visible. If you're expecting to replace your whole house vacuum with this you'll probably be disappointed as this vacuum is very useful on flat survaces but doesn't do well on carpet unless it's very low profile carpet, otherwise it hops up and down on the carpet and is irritating. I have mostly laminate floors and it works marvelous for that. I'm impressed each time when I'm finished doing a clean up job with it and didn't figure that the floor was all that dirty and go to empty the dust collector and find out how much dirt it has picked up. This vacuum seems quite sturdy and well build. The head swivels nicely and fits well into tight places. The dust collector has a nifty spring snap to clean system that is very effective in cleaning the filter and is easy to use. I'm also impressed with the charging station that I mounted on the wall which acts as a hanging hook for the vacuum as well. I would probably get rid of my whole house vacuum if it weren't for the carpeted rooms I have. I actually enjoy vacuuming with this as it's light weight, maneuverable and I don't need to drag around a cord.

This Electrolux stickvac has been wonderful so far. It is very well made. It doesn't look or feel cheap at all. It is actually very nice, very "luxe" looking. It feels really durable and solid.It works equally well on hard floors, as well as small area rugs. The roller brush helps with the rugs and surprisingly does not kick debris back at you when you do hard floors.The swivel head is great because it maneuvers so well. You can reach virtually and area. It's great for catching "stuff" in the little space between the bottom of the kitchen cabinets and the floor.Battery run time has been sufficient for me to vacuum as much as I have needed to before needing charged again. It does charge pretty quickly, too. I don't have to let it charge for a whole day to recharge the battery, like I did with a different brand of stickvac.As a handheld, it works great, too.I have no complaints abut this stickvac. So far, so good. It looks great, works great and seems to be made extremely well - all of this makes it worth the price.

So we got this unit and compared it to the Hoover LINX Cordless Stick Vacuum.What we like about it:1) The LED light is nice to have2) The swivel head is nice... it turns easily on hardwood.3) The head is small enough to get under the cabinet foot kick area.4) It is light and easy to carry5) We liked the built in battery.. not needing to go get one and plug it in, like the hoover.6) You can remove the brush with just a click.. to clean out the hairs.Things we did NOT like about it:1) On Carpet... forget it. It does NOT move. The Hoover glides easily (with or without the brush turned on).2) The canister to empty the trash is cumbersome. Take off the lid with two pin push. snap the dust with the built in tool. Compared to the hoover were you just click a button and drop everything out into the trash.3) It was difficult to dock.4) If you want to just use the hand unit... and get to the attachments... you need to take the full unit out... put it somewhere (it can't stand on its own... get all the attachments.) the hand unit just seems like it does not have the opening needed to pick up anything. Seems like you might as well just use the big unit instead.5) The power of this thing compared to the Hoover... well it is weak. The whole unit is running off the power of the little handheld.Bottom line:We took back this unit and kept the hoover. Here is what we liked about the Hoover1) We miss not having the LED lights.2) We love that it stand up on its own.3) The battery charges FAST! Less than 3 hours.4) It has some serious pickup.5) you can turn the brush off and on.

This is *probably* a great vacuum cleaner. However, AMAZON, you're losing your edge here. The packaging was obviously a very sloppily repackaged return item. I'm missing the 12 volt charger adapter for the docking rig. The whole point of having a cordless vacuum is so we can *charge* it and use it. Right now, my vacuum cleaner is a less-than-inspiring corner art object. No charging cord, no clean floor. .

We ordered the electrolux due to their great reputation. I was excited when we received the vacuum, it worked great and loved the optional hand held vacuum feature. Unfortunately, after 3 uses the battery would not stay charged. It show that it was charging, when you turned it on it would go full power with the blue light indicators and shut off after about 30 seconds. Very frustrating buying an item at this price and now I have a vacuum that doesn't work and maybe I could have saved a few dollars and purchased a less reputable product that had better performance. I don't expect the battery life to work forever on a cordless product, but 3 uses....really?
