Norpro 665 Nonstick Omelet Pan with Egg Poacher, One Size

My husband loves to make omlets. Today he made his first omlets. He was like a kid with a new toy.

I love my new pan but I am very upset that I wasn’t notified that it had been delivered. It was out all night and we had a very bad storm here. When I went out this morning the delivery bag and the cardboard box were drench and falling apart.

The idea behind this pan is good, but it wasn't designed/manufactured well. We've used it 3 or 4 times and like the idea but will probably toss this one out and buy one that is better made: 1) the handle needs to be tightened after every 2 or 3 uses, 2) the handles to pick up the individual egg poaching cups are too small and can't be lifted out of the pan with a oven mitt or even a dishtowel - I use paper towel and try to do it quickly before it gets too hot to hold, 3) the two parts don't seal when folded over so the partially cooked eggs leak out onto the stove and 4) after using the pan 3 or 4 times, the exterior finish is coming off.

This product was thrown away after the first use. After washing the pan I noticed it had 2 spots present where the Teflon coating had come off. As we all know this is hazardous to our health, consuming Teflon.

I bought this for my husbands cabin. I bought one a few months ago for our house with the same brand but no poached egg insert. Infact I had already bought a poacher but didnt like that the poacher inserts were plastic. I saw the omelet maker and I bought it because I had one growing up. The one I bought the handle split a little. This one is much better and I love the insert. I have made two omelets so far. Also the metal poached eggs inserts are great. I love that they are metal and with the inserts its just like the one growing up.

This is a fine product but not top of the quality . But good price and the extras were great

I don't like it cause I had to flip it

After years of making omelets with a cast iron frying pan and having mixed results with folding the omelet, I bought this hinged pan. It takes a bit of maneuvering to set the eggs on both sides of the hinge, but once that is completed, the rest is easy and effective. The non-stick feature allows the omelet to slide out onto a plate easily. I used to make poached eggs in water in a sauce pan, but the removable poacher produces a perfectly formed omelet. I especially admire the insulated handles on each egg cup that allow removal of the poached egg without burning one's fingers. Somebody was thinking!
