A good read
I liked most of the book and I can say that the world-building was outstanding. Everything was detailed and so vivid that I could just imagine it in full color. I love new planets and undiscovered alien species and this book totally delivered on that front. What was funny was when I got to the middle of the book I had a case of deja vu - it all was distinctly reminiscent of Pandora and Na'vi people from the movie Avatar who were indigenous very tall blue-skinned creatures living in a huge tree. So that fact kind of dimmed the enjoyment from the story for a bit.I liked both Cameron and Tal'jen and I think that they were well-suited for each other. I didn't expect Tal'jen to be so sweet and romantic, a tad too accommodating when he meets Cameron's colleagues but he bore everything with grace and patience and is a very likable and friendly alien. Cameron is a bit of a nerd and very free spirit easily accepting his alien and all the new changes in his life. What I didn't like about the whole situation was the BIG MISUNDERSTANDING when they couldn't communicate and Tal'jen thought that Cameron accepted him as a mate and Cameron was just exploring new alien species. That was a little skewed and misleading but I am glad that feelings existed on both sides and all was well in the end.The subsequent village visit and tribal life was an pleasant part and very steamy and uninhibited but also full of new knowledge and described in great detail and a very enjoyable read. The conflict in the end helped to balance the sweetness and acceptance of alien people and make it into one good SciFi novel. I enjoyed the last part of the book very much and I really recommend it. You will have lots of fun!

4.5 stars
As a fan of Sienna Sway’s The Alien’s Kidnapped Omega and Delaney Rain’s The Alien’s Mate, this was excellent. Space, gay aliens, cool worlds, and mpreg… what more could you want? The book was sweet, fun, and well-paced. I hope we get more books from this series!Spice: 4/5Angst: 1/5

Who knew aliens could be so hot
This was so funny. So many of the characters cracked me up. I also thought this almost read like a diary in a way (I’m guessing because it’s in first pov) but Cameron is hilarious so I didn’t care. So, the humans come to this alien planet because it’s rich with resources they want to mine. It’s okay to suck the planet dry of resources because there is no life forms anywhere, or so they thought. Apparently there are 7 foot tall purple aliens who live in the trees. Fascinating. Tal’jen is one of the aliens that is watching the newcomers to see who they are, and he is a little obsessed with Cameron. And once Cameron meets Tal’jen, he is obsessed with him in return.I laughed so hard anytime Cameron and Tal’jen met up. Cameron would attempt to get proof of there being aliens on the planet, but Tal’jen would ruin the videos because he would be like “okay so let’s have sex now.” And dirty alien sexy it was.The language barrier was upsetting because I wish they could’ve been able to understand each other from the get go. I guess it wouldn’t have made the revelations at the end as crazy if they could understand each other, so it was for the sake of the plot. They are eventually able to communicate at the end.I really loved the last chapter. It was so sweet and funny. I’ve actually read it like 3 other times before writing this review. This whole book was just sweet and funny, so please read it.I really want another book because so many things were left unsaid, but it’s been nearly 5 years since this came out, so I’m not sure what to expect. It’s still enjoyable without a sequel, but I want more!!!If you like big hot aliens, human x alien sex, knotting, mpreg, new planet induced body modifications, etc then you better give this a read!!

Rather sweet and spicy
This book was pretty good overall. There are some grammatical errors and some typos. The story was good, the spice was spicy, and the main characters were sweet.

This was such an unexpected read!
This was definitely one of those books that I could have finished in one sitting but held off since I didn't want to part with it so soon. I also knew I wanted a physical copy not even halfway through but was so disappointed it's only on ku 😭 The world building and the spice was absolute perfection. I need the second book now!! and I really hope we can order a physical copy of this sometime in the future. Can't wait to see what's in store for this series

Romantic language
I loved this book. The insta-lust trope is getting old but I found myself really enjoying the different take on it by Robin. It's what you want out of a MM sci-fi romance with a little angst and it makes you want more.
