TOAKS Titanium 450ml Double Wall Cup

I bought this double wall mug for my coffee while camping and it turned out to be invaluable. It is super light and easy to clean, and the best part is because of its double wall my coffee stays warm for way longer than I expected.

Just fantastic ! I have been wanting one of these for quite some time and i finally bought one. For starters it is not a $50 mug, the price is great, but it is of the same quality as those $50 versions. As for the weight, it's feather light and will be perfect for anyone's pack. The mesh bag is also a thing of beauty, it is a little rubbery feeling, really thick, and should do a fantastic job protecting the mug. It will be nice to finally have a double walled mug, no more burning your lips off trying to enjoy some coffee or hot coco around the fire. Even the box is nice to look at, lol. I just love this thing, and i know you will too !

Good backpacking mug. Lightweight, seems well made and keeps that coffee hot on cold fall mornings. Minus 1 star because I wish it came with a lid.

Bought this back in mid 2018, and have used it every day since then. Every day. I have used it for everything. Coffee, tea,water, hot soups and stews both homemade and freeze dried, milk, wine, beer, and cocktails. Absolutely no aftertaste or odor of anything previously filled with. I've done taste tests where I drink the same water from this cup clean, and then from some poured into my steel thermos, a growler, a friend's nalgene bottle, a regular empty commercial chain single use plastic bottle, and a glass bottle. This cup and the glass tasted like water side by side, everything else tasted faintly of steel, petrochemicals, and previous usage of beer, milk, sometimes soups and even rust. And I'm not someone in possession of a sensitive palate. But yeah, the hype surrounding the lack of taste to titanium is real, and I ended up getting a titanium water bottle because of it. A light rinsing after you've used it and you're pretty much good to go. You will find the lip where there is space underneath the smooth weld will require the most attention when cleaning. I travel with it in my bag, often with a rolled camping air mattress placed inside for the possibility of having to sleep in an airport. It is fairly big, with a proportionately short body to the wide mouth. Very light, considering. Because of the width, heat will escape quickly unless you use a lid, my choice being some generic silicone one. Quite frankly it's more for being able to handle a boiling hot mug with no gloves and not burning your lips than really holding in heat. It will definitely keep your drinks warmer than single wall for longer, but not by too much. But purchasing a lid for it is essential and adds to the cost. Even if you use a lid, the contents will cool fairly quickly as titanium absorbs heat. I will 'prime' the mug by filling it with boiling water to bring it about to a hotter inner diameter temperature before making pour over coffee in it or adding any hot beverage. This helps a lot. It shines when it comes to keeping drinks cool. I've spent time in tropical temperatures with it outside and it will absolutely keeps ice for extremely long periods of time. We're talking hours. The titanium will 'sweat' a little, but not by much. You would still need a coaster for a wooden surface and even then a thin one, but it's not like a single walled titanium cup where an ice cold beverage means it's surrounded by a puddle after a few minutes. The handles are removable, and may be a reason why some have reported discrepancies between advertised and actual weight. Since they are removable, they can easily be modified by adding tape, silicone tubing, or wooden dowels to get a better grip. Dropped it a lot, empty and full: Only a couple of tiny dents after seven years. Exterior is slightly textured, but can still accept metallic/reflective/plastic tape for customization with no loss of adhesion years later. Logo is fairly subdued, but since I am personally marketing averse I easily buffed it away with fine grain sandpaper with no marring to the finish. It's still quite big though, and I may decide to get the 375ML version as it can nest in other products I have. All in all, very pleased with it. For what I paid for it, and the amount of use I've gotten from it, even though I had to buy a lid for it separately I consider it a worthwhile purchase. This is a Buy It For Life item, and I keep it in the back of my mind as a possible gift for friends.

Given the double wall, I'm not sure why it has handles.... Its a nice cup that nests in my 750ml bailed pots. The Klean Kanteen Tumbler Lid is a perfect fit with this mug as well as the 375ml and 450ml TOAKS cups. The Silicon seal on the Klean lid is very compliant. As a hack....a Starbucks Venti Mocha lid fits the Double wall with a very snug fit. Not the others.

This is not a bad cup overall but the build quality feels "clunky" and unrefined compared to competing products. There is a strange lip from manufacturing on this unit but not on competing brands like Kuvik and Lixada. This lip is not shown in the listing but is clearly present on the example I own and another one like it that I have seen. The cup works well and I cannot bash it but the build quality is definitely not refined compared to others at around the same price. My complaints are more of annoyances vs. something critically wrong but there are other options out there I would suggest before this one.

This cup is so good that become my go-to coffee mug at home. It's better than ceramic mugs, since it doesn't get hot when I put hot beverages in it. My 18oz Kleen Kanteen nests relatively well in it, but isn't quite a perfect fit. Overall, I can't complain about this cup in any way.

I really like the craftsmanship, thickness and look. It isn't too hot to hold because of the double wall but it should come with a lid to retain warmth longer.

It's a titanium, double walled cup! Has the benefit of titanium being super light, but also for the first time I didn't have to worry about burning my lips when drinking from it, and my coffee stayed hot. Downside is that it doesn't fit well with my snow peak kit, but I can't knock it for that. 8 month-ish update: The one other addition that would make this exceptional is measurement marker lines. I still bring another single wall titanium cup backpacking JUST for liquid measurement purposes. It's annoying. If I find a different, double-walled titanium cup that has measurements on it, this one will be replaced in a heartbeat. Backpacking - as many things as I can reduce, the better. So any dual usage items are great. Unfortunately for me, I seem to be unable to guesstimate measurements accurately with this cup, hence I bring another just for that purpose. Possibly just a "me" issue.

it's a very good product, it's light, tough, and usefull. the only thing i have to say is that the only time i used it on a burner the bottom inflated and now it's not stable on flat surface anymore...
