To plug in a ps/2 device if you so desire, ie a ps/2 mouse.

Are the keys mechanical, or membrane?

They definitely feel like membrane keys. I subsequently bought a Model M from Unicomp, which has buckling-spring keys, and it feels much different. That being said, the Genuine Wyse is still pretty good, especially for what it costs.

Is there a strong and noticeable bump (tactile) when you press down on the key? And is it snappy? Trying to find a snappy and tactile rubber dome

Yep! It's got the best tactile/clicky feel I've found in a rubber dome yet. On the flip side it's also noticably louder than most rubberdomes. I've seen a few people confuse this with an entry level mechanical keyboard, but it's not.
