Selling used items!!! Buyer beware!!!!
Another company selling used items as new. The box was clearly opened. The items were clearly used as the letters were smeared. Horrible to give little ones something that was clearly in another child’s mouth is shameful!!!!!

Engaging and educational
Always keeps my daughter entertained. We graduated to this one from simple colors. So it’ll take a little bit for the increased, new efforts. Confident she’ll love it as she did her colors button art.

Poorly shipped, poor quality.
I love button activities like these. The box arrived damaged, and the buttons are poorly printed. The painted letters are easily scratched and the pages are bent right out of the box. I'm disappointed in this.

Expected more from the Alex brand and cost.
So for $24 (Amazon price July 2018) you get a cheap plastic tray for storage, cheap "buttons" with letters, plastic pieces with holes for the buttons to go into and 10 square colorful overlays with simple words/artwork to fit the letter buttons into. This seems like a high price considering the quality of materials. The overlays are really thin material with a plastic coating and the buttons are also cheap plastic. The letters on these buttons are already wearing off after only a handful of playtimes with the game. This is really disappointing because the whole point of the game is to create words using these letter buttons. Pretty soon I will have to throw out the buttons that you can't see the letters on anymore.I have found the Alex brand very hit-and-miss as far as quality but the cost is consistently higher than the quality should make it. This is a frustrating dilemma as the toy concepts are often quite good but the toy itself just won't last very long especially after you pay a premium price for that toy. I've been a mom for 20 years and have 10 children. I have watched many brand's reduce quality without reducing price especially boutique brand like Alex. It's unfortunate because we need quality toys!I don't recommend this product unless you've seen it in person and find it to be what you really need/want for your child.

Fabulous learning set for toddlers and preschoolers
The media could not be loaded. Alex ABC button art is a fun learning tool! My grandson LOVES this set! He is only 2 1/2 and has been learning some of his letters. His mother is a certified elementary teacher and has been working with him. She really likes this set as it helps review the skills he’s learned and is able to introduce new ones. The kit comes packaged in a plastic storage bin with a lid. Everything fits in the bin. The top of the bin is a plastic top that has numerous holes throughout it. All you need to do is place one of the 10 picture sheets to the plastic top. The card lays loosely on the top until you add the first button; when snapped in, the card is secure. Each button is a bright color with a letter painted on it and snaps easily into the hole. Each activity card is laminated and has two or three pictures and words. The pictures include a bird, bear, seal, fish, owl and more, all brightly colored and perfect for little ones learning how to spell and read.My daughter found that sorting the buttons by color help my grandson find the correct letter. He is able to find the letter, match it, and then pop it in place. This exercise helps, him review his colors and practice matching the letters.Package includes:(1) Convenient storage tray (with lid) holds all pieces(2) 46 colorful button letters(3) 10 pictures (9.6 inch square)

Fun Colorful Set for Letter Matching and Recognition
The Alex Discover ABC Button Art is a clever way to help children recognize letters and spell specific words. The bright and cheerful colors, adorable illustrations and hands-on approach has proved to be very drawing especially to my 3.5 year old. This comes with 46 button letters, 10 activity pictures and a storage tray with a lid. How this works is you'll put a picture into the tray which sits snugly and then a child will find the corresponding letter to the word on the card. This activity I feel is best done with assistance so little ones will know what the letter is they are seeking and what the word is that they are spelling. The buttons come in different colors so you can also use the kit for color recognition as well. For the more advanced learner, you can use the blank card to spell out your own words and make up other games and activities. The possibilities are many.I like this stores nicely and can be used for children of many ages and skill levels. Hands-on learning is always a favorite for my little one. Recommended!

Fun and educational.
I got this for my three year old to work on learning the alphabet and spelling simple words. My son already knew most of the letters, but sometimes has trouble identifying certina ones out of order (and he mixes up E and F all the time.) This set comes with a peg board with large holes and ten cards with three pictures and simple words that spell out the objects in the pictures. You search for the corresponding letter "buttons" and put them in the holes to spell the words. The pictures are bright and colorful and the cards are made with a decently sturdy cardstock. It's very easy to get the letter buttons in and out of the holes, which is good for little hands (not to mention putting the buttons in the holes helps develop fine motor skills. It's not terribly difficult and can get old quickly for little attention spans. My son seems to have trouble concentrating on the letter buttons to pick out the ones he needs so he can get frustrated, so often I do it with him, but every once in a while he will do the cards by himself. Because it's repetitive I think a little bit goes a long way. I do think it is definitely helping reinforce his learning, but it's just not something he can do for hours on end. Maybe as he gets older, though. I mean, he is only three.

Missing letters
Bought this for my daughters birthday only to open and realize several letters were missing, making the toy useless. Past the return window now and cannot return.
