This is NOT for Cactus or Succulents!
I repotted my Lithops with this horrible compost and after less than a week, they are all dead, rotted. This compost is much too water retentive. It has nothing in it to drain away the water, it holds the water and that's why all my plants have died. I lost some very expensive plants for a cheap and horrible product. If I could have not given ANY stars, I would have. They don't deserve even one star! DO NOT BUY!!!!

A great and costly way to kill your cactus, avoid this product
Avoid this product and make your own. I usually make up my own and this is why. Cactus potting soil should be made up of grit sand and no peat. This is mostly peat with a little sand mixed in and retains water so your cactus is going to rot. It was very expensive for what it was and the only reason I purchased was because play sand isn’t available at the minute to mix my own. I checked the reviews and I am annoyed that all of a sudden the bad reviews can be seen but couldn’t when I checked. The seller provided good service and the item arrived quickly but I will do well to keep my cactus alive in this. A very costly purchase. You are paying a lot older basic peat and then will have to go buy more sand and grit.

Not for cacti!!
This soil is too rich in organic matter for cacti to be happy in it. Far too little sand and altogether too much bark. No grit of any kind. Wish I hadn’t wasted my money

Would recommend, my plants seem to like this soil, although I did mix in additional perlite for extra drainage.

I really like using this compost for my large collection of cacti, they certainly seem to thrive on it. Very quick delivery too.
