For $100 this is a great value. Don't expect it to be 100% perfect, it will have some edge curl and waviness throughout that you'll notice in certain shots of things moving left to right. But it's also not $1700 like the tab-tensioned ones that wouldn't have those issues! It does feel super high quality construction-wise; the soft/slow-close action is really nice & it's easy to pull down and lock into place. With my Epson LS300 projector I'm really happy with the visibility in indirect sunlight indoors.I mounted mine on some $10 ceiling brackets, which was easy & works well.

I ordered this as an outdoor screen for our backyard. The quality was much better than I anticipated, it is very well built. We keep it outside all the time and has been about a month with no issues. For the money this has to be the best screen you can buy. I previously tried a cheaper version of another screen that I returned. My family is very happy with this screen!

This screen is a great size and price. for the most part, using it was great.First, a note about how I used it: my projector screen was mounted a couple feet in front of the doors to the laundry room, meaning that it needed to be easily stowed if it was laundry day. I installed two bike hooks in the ceiling, and then used white chain to put it at the desired height.Pull-down was easy, and unlike screens back in school, this one never had a problem extending/retracting.This screen, like many retractable screens, has a problem with being perfectly flat. there was a slight curve at the edges, but it was really only noticeable when flat-graphics were moving clear left-to-right across the screen.Because it's a manual pull-down, I had trouble landing it in the exact right place every time for my projector.All those things aside, this screen has a great material quality, looks good, performs well, and checks all the boxes a retractable projector-screen should.

I love that I can release and retract manually the screen anytime I want……when not using it you not ever notice the thing is there…..great price too…..I think is amazing for indoor use but to leave it fixed outdoor I don’t think will be a good idea……other than that is great

I had originally bought the Elite Screens Manual Pull Down Projection Screen, 4:3 Aspect Ratio-84in (Matte White) by accident, with the fact that the projector I had just purchased was widescreen not even crossing my mind. That projector screen, also from Elite Screens, was great. I used it for a couple months with no issues other than that I had to watch all widescreen video squashed into 4:3, of course, but I eventually bought this 16:9 screen to replace the 4:3 screen. 3 of the 4 reviewers at the time had bashed it, saying that it fell apart upon opening it, and they could never get it to retract. I ignored those reviewers, assuming them to be nothing more than hotheads that were unsatisfied enough with the product to leave a poor review, while everybody else that had bought this screen, while not amazed enough to leave outstanding reviews, were at least satisfied.However, I was proven wrong as soon as I opened the box. As another reviewer said, the packing is very, very poor, with only a few blocks of styrofoam spaced along the length of the unit. The metal bottom border of the screen I received had a large dent and scuff about 1/4 from the end of it, I assume from rough shipping.I hung it up anyway, at least to see how it would look (maybe the buckled metal on the bottom wouldn't be that noticeable--it was) and to make sure that the projector could still be centered on this new screen from its location on the ceiling. I pulled the screen down, only to find that it was very badly curled, a problem that the 84" 4:3 screen did not have. Also, bright whites projected onto the screen give off a very annoying sparkle. I didn't notice anything like this at all with the other screen. Lastly, it took me nearly 5 minutes to get the screen to retract, another problem that the 84" 4:3 screen did not have.Why is the quality of this 16:9 screen so much poorer than that of the 4:3 screen? It's the same manufacturer and not much cheaper at all (the list price, that is). In fact, the actual sale price on Amazon.com is very slightly more expensive at the moment.Needless to say, I'm about to return this crappy screen.

The context of my 5-star rating is that my roommates and I had been previously happy projecting straight onto the wall. So obviously moving up to an actual screen, even a less expensive one like this, is a great improvement in my book! But my opinion will be less useful for anyone who really knows about screens.The screen works great. It rolls up and down easily, and my Epson PowerLite 710HD projector fits perfectly with it (that is, when I'm running my computer on it in 16:9 aspect. When I switch to ancient GameCube technology it switches and projects taller than the screen).Only con is that you're kind of on your own figuring out how to get brackets and mount it onto the wall or ceiling.

It was up in about 20 mins with measuring and ensuring level prior to mounting. Easy to take down for storing as well. Easy pull down and quiet slow (purposely) recoil.Now ready for concerts in the hot tub!

Instalé esta pantalla en el techo, el sistema retractil funciona sin problema, la imagen mejora mucho con respecto a la proyección en pared, los unicos dos inconvenientes que le veo son, al desplegarla tiene un olor a hule muy fuerte, en menos de una hora se percibe el olor en todo el cuarto, espero y con el paso de los dias se le quite ya que para algunos nos puede resultar muy perceptible e incomodo, otro aspecto es que principalmente en el area central de la pantalla se aprecian unas lineas blancas horizontales cada 15~20 cm, que en colores muy claros se aprecia, la linea que se aprecia es de 2~3 mm, en cuanto al ondulado si se aprecia un poco, pero no es notorio una vez que esta en uso, a eso no le veo problema, pero en sí, para lo que esta destinada, creo que es una excelente compra, y al precio que la consegui ni se diga, ya que al dia de hoy esta 700 pesos mas cara, extraño, no?

El producto viene usado y la pantalla Ni siquiera baja correctamente, por lo cual se va a devolver. ESTA DEVOLUCIÓN LA HICE A LOS 3 días posteriores a la compra y NO HE RECIBIDO HASTA AHORA la respuesta

I purchased this screen for my outdoor patio. It is covered under a hardtop gazebo. I have experience with Elite as I use their screen in my media room. Although the gain is not as high as my media room screen, this one is still quite good and this picture in an outdoor environment is excellent. The mechanical operation is really good and smooth. The screen is very lightweight and fits nicely in my gazebo. I can recommend this product to someone who is not looking at spending a lot of money for a great value.Note the attached picture is using a very inexpensive projector, so your image may be better.

この商品には致命的な欠陥がございます。横線のしわが等間隔にあり、視聴に耐えないほど気になります。私は返品しました。しかし、釘を壁に打ってしまったため、やむなく同一商品をもう一度買いました。以後、二回目の商品についてレビューを追記させていただきます。それによってたまたま運が悪く粗悪品に当たったのか、この商品自体が粗悪品なのかが分かると思います。 追記…2回目の商品12月3日到着、この商品自体が粗悪品だと判明。横線のしわが均等に7本有ります。ダリオ・アルジェント監督のサスペリアを視聴、横線ははっきりと分かり、映像的な美しさを売りにする作品が台無しであります。メーカーに対して怒りのストレス満タンです。どうしようもない粗悪品であります。このメーカーの商品に高評価している人は間違いなくメーカーの回し者でしょう。
