We do not have a covered deck. Could these outdoor speakers be totally exposed to the outdoor element?

I have installed these speakers totally exposed and they have lasted several years the grills might become rusty looking depending on the area you're in

Are these compatible with Alexa/Echo Dot?

These are not Bluetooth speakers so they will not work directly with Echos or Dots and need to be powered by an audio receiver. You can however, use an RCA or Bluetooth connection between an Echo or Dot and the reciever and stream to the speakers.

Is this a 8ohm speaker?

Yes, they are! 100% positive! I am driving them with a 8 ohm Yamaha receiver! Sound pretty good too.
