Dolce & Gabbana The One EDT for Men, 3.3 oz

I recently purchased The One fragrance by Dolce & Gabbana as a Father's Day gift for my fiancé, and I must say it has been a delightful choice. The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful and substantial bottle, which adds a touch of luxury to his collection. When it comes to the scent itself, The One exudes a captivating blend that is perfect for casual wear. The top notes of grapefruit, coriander, and basil create a fresh and invigorating opening, while the heart notes of cardamom and ginger bring a spicy and warm twist. After first purchasing from Macy's in 2010, I have run out and used/resorted other colognes in the rotation (Bleu De Chanel, La Nuit de l’Homme and L’homme by YSL, some Carolina Herrera fragrances, Versace Man Eau Fraiche, and even some Farragamo tossed in the mix). It wasn’t until a couple days ago I came across this on Amazon for a great price, (something like $36 for the 3.3 oz) and decided to pull the trigger…again. I will add mine was purchased and shipped through Amazon, not a third party seller. Upon arrival, it smelled exactly like what I remembered from my original purchase at Macy’s back in 2010 (Sidenote, maybe that’s part of Macy’s problem…why would somebody spend $80 in the store, when you can get the same item for less than $40 on Amazon?) I used an online cosmetic calculator to check the batch code, and it was a valid code that predated my purchase by 3 months. Seems legit, smells legit, I’ll call it a homerun. Now onto the juice. This scent is unique. It was initially marketed by Matthew McConaughey, and that might be my biggest gripe about it. Projection/Sillage is above average. After 4-5 hours on me, this becomes more of a skin scent, but don’t let that deter you. This scent is a unique mix of base notes that combine to bring about a very masculine smell, but without relying on a heavy clean, detergenty, or traditional cologne type smell. The base notes present, to me, are very well blended tobacco, amber, and I even pull some leather. It is spicy and warm, definitely a good winter scent. I wouldn’t recommend this for the summer or warmer weather. It is not an aquatic or light airy scent, so don’t expect that out of it. Regardless, if you want a smell that is definitely masculine, but done well, give it a shot. Especially if you can land this monster for under $40.

I haven't tried D&G cologne in years. Obviously everyone loves "light blue". Great scent. But I myself am a Versace guy. Dylan Blue, Eros, The Dreamer, Blue Jeans, etc ... I love all Versace scents, even get the perfume for my girl. But I wanted to switch it up. I tried Prada. Good scent, but didn't last long. Gucci Guilty Black is EXCELLENT! I did some research and it seems D&G "The One" is their second most popular scent after Light Blue. So I got the 3.4 oz bottle. Definitely smells great! And it lasts. I seen some comments saying it's a scam, scent doesn't last, watered down, etc. Wasn't the case for me. I sprayed some at about 3pm, and at 7:30, almost 5 hours later I noticed I could still smell The One! Definitely a great scent. It's a little on the stronger musk side. But it is a yellowish, brownish color liquid, not clear or light blue colored, so I'd expect musky. But it's not overpowered. It's very pleasant. Could be my new favorite? Until I spray some Versace Eros or Dylan Blue anyway 😂 Anyway I definitely recommend!

My husband loves this perfume. It’s masculine but not too much. Great for everyday use. The bottle is beautiful for decor in the bedroom. The price isn’t bad on Amazon either. You can get it cheaper in different sites but Amazon delivers quickly compared to others (if that’s important to you).

Dolce & Cabbann The one is great scent that has been around for awhile and popular. The EDT smells great not to over powering but just lacks longevity, I don't get full 8hr day out of edt I didn't expect to, others may have different results. I use it when I don't need an all day fragrance.

One of my favorite woodsy scents for the fall. Good quality. I have received many compliments.

This cologne features a nice combination of notes that come together to create a very masculine scent. The opening is great, and the dry down leads to a subtle, sophisticated scent. I cycle through colognes, but this one (no pun intended) frequently garners compliments. It has pretty good longevity on my skin, and the projection on the opening is pretty good. I don't want a cologne that's assaulting the nostrils of all those around me, but this cologne - while fairly long lasting - requires very close proximity to smell after the opening fades. Then again, it might be one of those scents that the wearer gets accustomed to quickly, because I have had compliments from people hours after putting it on who weren't necessarily face-deep into my personal space. I was almost tempted to give THE ONE four stars on what I'm perceiving as weak projection, but as I think subtlety can sometimes be a good thing and given that I do love the scent, I can't bring myself to knock a star off the rating. Overall, though, I highly recommend THE ONE. It's one of those colognes that I will definitely purchase again once my current bottle runs out.

It's nice fragrance but doesn't last longer than 4 hours. But I still recommend to others

Very nice product, very fast shipping. The scent is very nice. I am sure all are aware that this product has longevity issues. There are a few ways to make the scent last longer on your body, do some research before ruling this product out because of its longevity issue; but unlike most, I find that the scent stays with me longer than expected. Depends on the wearer.

Me llegó el Dolce and Gabbana The One EDP (No EDT). Dado que los perfumes no se pueden devolver, decidí conservarlo. Pero al contrario de lo que se puede pensar, la versión EDP, no tine mejor performance que la EDT. Esto se dice en muchos foros y reseñas, y también lo puedo comprobar con la que tengo. El olor es muy parecido, un poco más intenso, pero no proyenta mucho y dura muy poco en piel. En ropa tampoco dura mucho. Realmente no estoy totalmente seguro de que el producto que tengo sea original. Si lo es, también hay que decir que es la versión anterior de DG The One EDP, pues acaba de salir una nueva versión (2026).
