Sound quality is excellent, range is excellent, they feel well made. I bought them as kids toys but they're so good they could used seriously.

This is a very good walkie talkie. I have used many more expensive brands. If I compare this one with other well known (and expensive) brands, there is not big difference in range or built quality. I use these in my job in industrial zone , with a lot of buildings. I did not check a full range, but 300 yards what I need for communication with forklift drivers is very good and clear. Only one thing, what I don't like is a keypad lock. Did not lock call tone button and torch button. So you can accidentally press call tone button or switch on torch, if you don't notice that, battery will be drained faster. Otherwise very good for the price. And one more important thing. These are licence free walkie talkie.

I did a good deal of research before selecting these and I wasn't disappointed. Solid, functional and a real hit with my kids. The rechargeable feature is brilliant and easy to use, putting this product above others on offer. Sound quality good and range seems good too. Highly recommended.

Battery life is about the only good thing with these. Sound quality not good at all and the range is around 200 metres certainly nowhere near the 5k that was advertised. They’re ok if I’m down the shed and my wife is indoors, or I’m at the shop 200 metres away, but if I go round the corner and step outside that 200 range, forget it. It certainly won’t be any good in the New Forest or if one got lost. Wouldn’t recommend this product unless one intends to use it at close range.

Excellent little PMR handies. Dropped a star because the lamp button will trigger the led 'torch' in a rucksack which if left unnoticed will eventually run the batteries down. LED is basically useless as a torch anyway, so why bother. Battery life is fine, easily got a day of intermittent use on 2500 mAh rechargeable batteries, sound is good too and rotary volume is a bonus. Not strictly speaking PMR legal as can be set to 1 watt but used at the 0.5W setting they have plenty of range. Got several miles between hill tops. Haven't really used them in an urban environment, but they work well at a couple of hundred meters from inside buildings and building to car. Minor gripe: PTT button is a bit small, but for the money these are excellent overall.

Nicely made, clear display (except the tx/rx symbols), bargain price and covers the new channels.The main downside is the daft torch function. Why does everything ever made need a bloomin’ built-in torch? Especially one that cannot ever be disabled, works when the power is off, and is guaranteed to switch on in your pocket/bag and drain the batteries until they leak all over the battery compartment. If the price wasn’t so good I’d have sent them back. I’ll most likely end up taking them apart and permanently disabling the torch... :-/

Great little walkie talkies perfect for communicating rather than just shouting. Excellent range (except when blocked by hills). Doddle to use. 1.5 miles from our house to the Roaches in the Peak District and worked clear as a bell. Only downside as with all walkie talkies is that you have to check who's standing near to your partner before you swear...
