DampRid FG01LV Moisture Absorber, Lavender Vanilla, 10.5-Ounce

I originally bought this after some water got spilled in our basement and started smelling musty. It cleared that up. I then used it in a closet that had had a previous water leak and smelled almost like cat pee. This little thing cleared up the moisture and the odor! If you're sensitive to smells you might want to be careful as it is pretty strong lavender scented. It didn't bother me, but it might bother some people. Otherwise it's an excellent product!

Was expecting this to be a disappointment. Pleasantly surprised. My condo has the closet in the bathroom, so I worry about humidity. This unit also had a smoker in it, and I've been battling that. My clothes were smelling funky despite several coats of Killz in the closet. Once I got this, that problem went away. I'm not saying this is magic for a smoke smell, but rather the humidity was probably exacerbating the problem and this stopped it. Also, kind of fun to watch. I keep another one in the bathroom part of the room (it's a really weird set up - toilet and shower in one half, vanity and closet in the other half) because, well, I can't STAND the sound of the fan. Works great - it's humid for a few minutes after the shower but not after.

Excellent product to remove moisture from many areas with limited air circulation. In my case, I used them under beds (if it fits) because moisture tends to build under the mattress foundation for lack of air circulation. It keeps the underside dry and smelling fresh. This bucket is perfect for such locations where hanging a dehumidifier cannot go. As an added precaution, I place the container in a plastic shoe box (sans the cover) in case the container is knocked down. This avoids water from spilling onto the floor. For closets where one can hang the product, I recommend that you buy the one designed for hanging as they are much easier to use and disposed of.

It’s been just 24 hours since I placed the product in my room and have already noticed a significant difference in air. Well worth the money. I got the lavender scent and it’s perfect, leaves the air light with just a kiss of sweetness.

We use these in our condo to trap the humidity. Florida gets such bad humidity in the summer and can cause issues. These are just the best

It improved the smell under the sink but didn't help remove the moisture left from a leaky Faust.

I put one of these in my boat every year in the off season and it prevents moisture and mold from inside the cabin.
