Bought this to go next to bed as like to listen to the radio when having difficulty sleeping or dozing on a lazy Sunday morning. The radio has an alarm feature, the radio has a sleep feature and even more perfectly the radio has a dimmable screen which was a problem in my last radio. The sound is good, it looks nice, everything is just what you might want in a bedside radio.... So why on earth in the name of all that's holy did the moron who designed this put a bright red charging indicator light on the back that lights up the room? Seriously? Do I need a light to tell me the battery is charged? Maybe if its charging, but why a bloody great red light just to tell me there's nothing going on? What's worse is there is a battery level indicator on the damned screen. So the light serves no purpose whatsoever. Do I want to increase the standby electricity usage? Do I want to make my room look like an Amsterdam brothel? Having a dimmable screen that allows you to have the perfect light level with a bloody fog light on the back makes as much sense as a Motorhead lullaby. I am now in a position where I have to take the damn thing apart in order to murder the light or send it back.This product loudly proclaims itself as British design, so was the Titanic. Do us a favour lads, keep it quiet.

When I first charged it up , I set it up and took it to work I never switched the radio on just had the clock on .To my shock it ran out of charge in 8 hrs, so my first thought was to send it back. I charged it up again and when I took it to work I had the radio on all day even on low on the way home , it lasted about 10 hrs to my surprise. I keep the clock light on a low level and the battery lasts with the radio on ,so I kepted it .Very good radio very good reception would recommend to anyone and very good sounds loud and clear.

It was delivered on time and all boxed. Sadly it had a problem with charging the battery. I rang the number and spoke to a guy called Fergus. After listening to my issue it was agreed they would send me a new one. It has duly arrived today by recorded delivery, and works perfectly. All I’ve got to do now is send the old one back in the supplied packing. Fantastic after sales, brilliant product. Only 4 stars for portability because it’s a bit heavier than I thought but it does exactly what it says on the box!

I use this in my bedroom with an under pillow speaker and it’s so easy to adjust volume and change channels even when it’s dark. Also when you adjust the brightness you can get a very low light level so it doesn’t distract you when it’s dark in the room. Also having a USB port you can charge a phone or iPad while you sleep. It’s also easy to use Bluetooth if you want to listen to podcasts. Lastly, having rechargeable batteries means you can easily use it when travelling or in the garden.

Good solid system. Only issues I've got is that the time is set automatically, so can't really alter to be X minutes fast, and to alter the alarms setting the radio has to be on

Great build quality. And perfect size for my desk. Sound quality rich and really good. More than enough volume. One small criticism and not enough to lose a star. Found the control buttons quite clunky to use. Switching on off and switching between fm and digital. Local station to me doesn't use dab so listen to it on FM and find going between the two not as easy as it should be.

This a lovely little radio with good tone and sound, clear instructions and easy to use. HOWEVER!! The claimed battery life of the rechargeable internal battery is 10 hours. This is sadly a claim that they should not make and should be challenged under the Trade Descriptions Act rulings. After charging the battery overnight, the battery lasted only 30 minutes before expiring. Even after a full charge during the day, the battery expired overnight without the radio even being switched on.It is a shame as the radio itself is a little cracker - clear sound and easy to use. It's just a pity that the whole thing is let down by a useless battery. We intended to use the radio in the garden and on the mains supply in the house - however if one bit of the system doesn't work then it renders the unit unusable.Amazon should either amend the description on their web page advert for the radio or ask the manufacturers to tackle the problem and solve it.Very disappointed and concerned that Amazon would sell something so blatantly mis-described.

Great product, bought 2 now.Only negatives are a bit quieter on bluetooth but just need to remember to turn volume down before switching source!Display can be hard to read at times but not a massive issue.Smaller footprint than you'd think too. Great for Garage/workshop as well as anywhere around the house.
