There are no RCA inputs and outputs. There are balanced XLR inputs and outputs and balanced 1/4" TRS inputs and outputs for each channel. If you're wanting to hook up to RCA equipment then you'll need RCA-to-XLR/TRS cables.

How does this compare to the effect the Epicenter bass restoration line does to car audio, except for non +12v applications?

No reason you couldn't. But that means turning the bass side up after the mixer might bring too much bad into the vocal, since they've got it stacked. I get what you're going for, but I would still buy them one at a time just to get a feel for what it's doing. As an experiment, you could run the vocals through one side, and go mono for the mains and run it through the other side.
