Works as advertised
Nothing special about these, they just do what they are asked. The only dig on them is sometimes the locks are hard to use, but I have them permanently installed, so it's not a big deal to me.

They're cheap umbreallas. Not much to hide.
Surely you don't buy $5 umbrellas to last a lifetime. I use this with my 285HVs and they work great. Don't man handle them and they won't break, sort of like any other umbrella. Not much else here. They didn't catch fire when I opened them so there is that. If there is something you want to know comment.Update: Umbrellas are still working strong. I added a product image of a self portrait of myself to get an idea of their capability. No temperature shift seen. The temperature of the lights is the temperature the umbrellas transmit.Update II (2-10-12): I broke one of the arms of the umbrella. I was half expecting this to happen. It wasn't from regular use but rather bending it when it came in contact with a lightstand I was collapsing. I repaired the arm by sticking a kebab skewer in the arm and lacing it to the arm as a sort of brace. It works well and I didn't have to buy a new one. Still recommended for the price.

Look Your Best With This Lighting Umbrella
Bright diffused lighting—the key to making anyone look good on camera. This translucent umbrella helps with that. It's 33 inch when fully opened. It's basically a pole with an umbrella top. You are supposed to be able to slide in the pole to a lighting tripod (like this Photography Studio 600W Umbrella Lighting Kit . But if you don't have the necessary compatible attachment you can easily improvise like I do; I use rope and tape to keep it on my lighting stands. It does what it's meant to do: diffuse your light source. Attach it to any stand and you can instantly look fancier (and charge higher fees!) It's affordable and will do wonders for your YouTube videos. Try one today. Recommended.

Good steal for a beginner photo studio
Fine 33 inch umbrella for photography studio: nothing fancy here, but nothing too cheap either. This umbrella is perfect for photo beginners. It is smaller than the others I have and you ill not find any printed brand name on the fabric: cool! When I do not use it for pictures I use it as a lamp because I like the way it diffuses the light: it creates a smooth and attractive ambiance, very loungy, I love it. The price is given sincerely. A great purchase

Decent and reasonably priced ...
Photographic umbrella manufacturers should take cue from the golf umbrella manufacturers in building more sturdy umbrellas that can hold up to hard use by using fiberglass rods and reinforced stitchings found in the golf counterpart. I've has 6 or more golf umbrellas over the years and none of them failed because they tipped over and got blown over from the wind gust. And sturdy golf umbrellas cost only few dollars more on average than cheap photo umbrellas which are often toast when tipped over while on a stand. If you ever had an umbrella tip over and break, you understand the dreadful feeling. The construction of this umbrella is decent as both ends are capped with smooth metal and the arm tips are capped with plastic. I use these for indoor use only but they look fragile enough that one tip-over and that would be the end of it. Therefore, use with care outdoors. Deploy the sandbags or an assistant.

Not Sturdy But Gets Job Done
I would not use this outside at all.It is just not that sturdy, bends easy, the plastic is what it is. The price point is hard to be beat though and its intended usage was for me in controlled environments and it performs fine. Outside would be ok with no wind but I would just not recommend it.With any thing cheap, be cautious, you cant exactly constant open and close this thing. Even though its cheap I intend to use it for a while. Very thin fabric but it actually does its job perfectly, it softens the light.

Durable and reasonably priced
I spent a significant amount of time reading reviews and at first, I purchased a Westcott umbrella. I figured you get what you pay for .. right? Well that is not always true. Sometimes a lower price is just a good deal. This umbrella is sturdy and very durable. I've only done some practice shots, but it is of much better quality than other umbrellas I've used. Definitely going to buy more. Umbrellas are not made to last a lifetime, but I think this one will last for a good amount of time and for this price, you can purchase additional for backup.

Photo translucent umbrella
Over all my feed back on the item is positive. The umbrella I purchased is as described in item overview. It is not a high quality item but is great for occasional use by non-professionals. One can not beat the price. Even professionals would find the umbrella useful with gentle use and care. The item is reasonable quality for the low price. In conversation with the seller I found the seller to be helpful and considerate concerning an issue I had with shipping. Seller made an offer to me exceeding my expectation so my review of the seller is top notch.
