Sleepnitez FSA Eligible 8" Bed Wedge Pillow for Acid Reflux, Sleep Apnea

My husband and I were very impressed with this wedge pillow. It kept his head up and kept the snoring at a minimal and we were both happy!! The pillow held up and kept his body on an incline which is where the help comes from. This is exactly the result we were hoping for. The firmness works for him and it's definitely portable, and adjustable. He experienced pain relief from his aching shoulders. This is a quality buy!

I’ve tried just about every available wedge pillow, which I need to control reflex. I spent 5 times more for a super high-end Medcline pillow with a built-in arm hole and a full body worm pillow. None of them worked for me. This Sleepnitez pillow is far and away the best I’ve ever experienced. Perfect size and angle. The 3-inch memory foam layer makes I luxuriously soft and comfortable to lie on. And it comes with an available zippered cotton pillowcase (for about $30). I’ve slept longer and much better since I started using the pillow, and I actually look forward to lying down on it. I highly recommend it.

Since I've gotten this pillow, I have been falling asleep sooner and waking up with less of the acid reflux issues that come along with a hiatal hernia. It is quite comfortable once my body settles into it. The only downsides are that my spouse gets annoyed because the wedge literally takes up half of our queen-sized bed, and I kind of sink down from the slope and occasionally find myself having to readjust and climb up higher, once or twice a night. I am also used to sleeping on my side, so this wedge doesn't allow me to be flexible. I pretty much have to sleep on my back. I'm hoping that this pillow is just a temporary thing. My cat also hopes so because he likes to lean on the wedge on occasion. (I would give this pillow a 3, but that wouldn't be fair because it's not the pillow's fault that I don't like sleeping on my back, and it IS making sure that I have half the bed to myself. LOL.)

I bought this when I had a bad sinus infection. I was also coughing so bad that I bruised my ribs and even the prescription cough syrup didn't fully help. This allowed me to breathe better, lay more comfortable with hurt ribs, cough less and get some rest. I get sinusitis a lot so I am glad to have this on hand and the rest of family has used it when needed. I've also used it to elevate legs. It's well made and a handy thing to have around.

Without this I would have struggled I needed a solution to keeping my leg elevated and comfortable after knee surgery. I had used a leg elevation pillow when I had my other knee done, but it failed me. It moved around and was hard as a rock. So I knew what I wanted this time: a leg elevating pillow that stayed in place and was soft enough, yet supportive enough to help me stay comfortable after the surgery. I already had the Sleepnitez wedge pillow and it has been really comfortable and durable. So when I saw they offer a leg elevation pillow I knew it would be the right one. I was not wrong. The height is just right (8”) and the 2" of memory foam make it soft enough to cradle your leg. It has a non slip base, so it does not keep sliding all over the bed. It also has handles at the side and these are useful when you want to reposition the pillow (sitting up to lying down etc). When I got the package, it came is a nice gift box, I opened it and it expanded almost instantly. They say we should leave it for 48 hours to expand, but I am sure mine was full sized long before then. Most importantly, there was no smell. After the operation, I found the pillow very comfortable and it certainly helped make the post operative period a lot more bearable. If you are looking for a leg elevation pillow, I would suggest you try this one

This product came in nicely packaged, rolled up in a relatively small box. It expanded almost instantly when removed from the plastic inner wrapping. I did not detect a strong odor; just a normal foam odor that quickly dissipated within 24 hours. The wedge is 8 inches at its deepest edge, which is recommended (6-8, with 7.5 inches being most recommended). And I like how it tapers to almost nothing at the end, making it so you do not feel the bottom corner at all when sleeping! Love that. However, there are two things I don’t love about it: 1. The memory foam part is a topper that is less than half the depth; the under layer is a dense foam, and it is not very comfortable. It IS better than those wedges made entirely of dense foam, but it still does not make for a comfy sleep, and it takes several days to get used to (or mostly used to), and 2. It is wide and long; the other dimensions are over 25 and 27 inches. As a smaller adult (5’4”), it seems quite large overall. I can’t make the bed with it, as it looks funny with the other pillows, storing it under the bed is bad for dust, it’s too large to store it next to the bed, and so it is placed in the closet where it is inconvenient to get out every night. However, I do what needs to be done. I use it for acid reflux problems. The first night I used it, I got no sleep at all. It was hard to get used to, and my spouse had to get used to it in the bed, too. I took it to the guest room for the next two nights so I could get used to sleeping on it without disturbing my spouse. After that, I took it back to the main room and it’s been pretty good. Still not perfect. I am able to use my regular pillow on top of it, although sometimes I wake up with a slight crick in the neck (but it always goes away). Now, two good things: 1. I can sleep both on back and side, 2. It has REALLY helped my acid reflux and I do not wake up with a sore tho at in the morning. I also think it helps with snoring. I am a light to medium snorer, and my spouse reports not hearing any when I use this wedge. Bottom line: it really helps! Wishing point: a slightly smaller, softer wedge would be much more comfortable!

I specifically chose Sleepnitez wedge pillow because it seems better compared to other wedge pillows available on the market. It is better in dimension/slope and memory foam (details below). The majority of the memory foam is 3”, while at the very top it is 3.25 inches. It’s softer and squishier than I expected, which can be a negative for someone who likes firm. It came vacuum sealed and rolled up. I didn’t time it but it definitely took less than one hour to form into shape (almost instant!). Positives -Tencel pillow case/cover is good quality. It has a medium thickness and is very soft. -No offensive odor. It smelled “new” like majority of memory foam products. -Large size and gradual slope (25.2"W x 27.2"L x 8”H). This takes up almost half of my full/double size mattress. The pillow is longer than the average wedge pillows. A short/steep slope could hurt your spine or neck. -No rib pain! -Offers much more memory foam (3” to 3.25”) compared to competitors. This is better for side sleepers like me. (Just take a look at my photo carefully. Look at how much memory foam you are getting at your lower back then compare it to competitors. With this brand there’s no firm foam at the lower back, only soft memory foam. It is unique. **FYI, the creamy white is the soft memory foam while the bright-white is the firm high density foam foundation.**) -Soft but supportive. (I am lightweight though so it doesn’t sink for me.) -Helpful for GERD, coughs, nasal congestion, snoring, and heart conditions -Expanded/inflated into full size almost instantly without any issues. Potential Negatives -Tencel pillow cover pills and shrinks so be careful how you wash/dry it. -This isn’t considered firm, so I suggest you look elsewhere if you are searching for that. -Buying spare pillow cover is kind of pricey and hard to find the right size. -Difficult to find a headrest pillow to work well with this wedge pillow. (Sleepnitez should copy InteVision and provide us a headrest pillow). Proper headrest pillow makes a huge difference in comfort. -Tips- -Be careful when washing/drying the original wedge cover. Make sure to either line dry or use low heat. Mine shrunk a bit. -Remove wedge cover after unboxing so it could expand/inflate quicker and more efficiently. -It took me a while to transition to a wedge pillow. I nearly gave up. I have finally adapted and have some tips that might help: (1) Find a flat/slim/small pillow for the head. I ordered a child’s pillow and it works well. (2) Place a pillow below your butt/thigh area. It’ll keep you from sliding down. They also sell a leg elevation pillow if a regular pillow doesn’t work. (3) Try to sleep on your back if possible. It’s more comfortable to sleep in that position with a wedge than the side. ——————- *UPDATE/EDIT* July 2024 I recently bought it again for the second time! I saw it on sale and thought I might as well replace it since it’s been a few years. Since my original review, they have added wedge pillow covers and a headrest pillow. Both sold separately. I’m so glad because the covers I had from other companies made the foam curl since they were not the right size/fit.

If you have acid reflux, this wedge pillow by Sleepnitez is exactly what you need to sleep. Your upper body, head, and neck will mold comfortably into the memory foam. The elevation is the perfect height and not too high, which is key for controlling acid reflux. The pillow is wider than most, which is helpful when you turn so you stay on the pillow. You can unzip the outer cover and take it off to wash. Acid reflux makes it challenging to sleep, but this Sleepnitez wedge pillow will help keep it under control so you can sleep your best!

When i saw the box, I was worried that the pillow will be deformed since this is my biggest concern. However, the pillow is vaccum-packed and stored properly. After opened, the shape is being retained. I went to wash the cover before trying. It is comfortable and my sleep has been reasonably well. As I have been suffering from sleep apnea for years, it is still early to say if this help with my condition. Will recommend others to give this a try.

Used this pillow with my super refluxy baby in the crib. Absolute lifesavor!!
