Targus Vuscape Case for Google Nexus 7 - 2nd Generation (THZ222US)

Great case. I had the one for my original Nexus 7. Biggest problem I have with this is that the edge of the case makes pushing the power button difficult. The older version had a cutout near the power and volume buttons.Also, the little rubber lines for the stand are annoying. I preferred the old method (indentations).But, overall, a decent case.

I had this case for my Nexus 7 2012. It is very sturdy and I like this case.

Fits perfect, provides lots of protection and the landscape/table top viewing option is a bonus.

Wrong spec in Features. This case is 8" long, not 9.2. Width is correct at 4.8" and overall thicknesd is actually 5/8" with Nexus mounted in it. Bought at Best Buy for $13, about same as here with shipping. It is an excellent case for the money. I like how securely it holds the Nexus. Had to fold case back on itself and weight it down this way overnight in order to easily fold it all the way back to hold and use tablet. Hope that's clear enough. Also. there are beads of what look like silicone on inside front cover - the surface that contacts screen when closed. These beads are what allow you to set tablet in 5 different angles, however, they leave marks on the screen that are easily wiped off but kind of annoying to me. Still a 4-star item to me.

Very tight fit on the second generation Nexus 7, so much that I am concerned about bending the Nexus while opening/closing the case. I hope it will loosen with use. Also, this case nearly obscures the operating buttons (power, volume) making them rather difficult to reach. Build quality and protective aspects of this case are excellent.

At first this case this case seemed like it would work great. The protection overall is pretty good. As a previous reviewer states it does obscure the buttons on the side a bit but not to the point where I really find it a problem. I like that it has the little stand integrated with the case. Overall the fit is perfect and it feels snug and secure. Where this case fails miserably is in the little rubber strips that are used as the stopper for when you are using the stand function. They work as they should but if you have a screen protector on your device these little rubber strips create 5 black marks that run the length of the screen that you cannot remove. It is a HORRIBLE design flaw. So much so that I have had to replace one screen protector after just a month. The second one was ruined almost immediately and as soon as my new case arrives I will be throwing this piece of garbage away and having to replace yet another screen protector. Don't waste your money. Buy something else.
