Mutant MIG-PIR-2 M-Wavio Portable Pocket-Sized WiFi Internet Radio with FM Radio (Lime)

I love Internet Radio and I listen to Old Time Radio shows, so I bought this small radio to carry around the house when I clean. It has no trouble finding and maintaining the Wi-Fi, the stations are easy to add, easy to aggregate into Favorites, and the whole radio is simple to operate. Sound quality is very good, but I found I could also attach small speakers very easily, so now I have a handy small sound system. Of course, they have thousands of radio stations to choose from, and when you choose "All Stations" from the Main Menu, you're going to be overwhelmed by the genres and locations. The best feature in my opinion is the battery life: once charged, this radio will play for up to 10 hours.This is my second Mutant Wavio, not that I need two, but I bought a spare when my first one dropped to the floor from a table and stopped working. I contacted the manufacturer and they suggested I mail the radio to them. It was returned quickly, all fixed, FOR FREE. I immediately bought this second Wavio because I'm thrilled with the customer service, and I may give it as a gift

I bought this for my mother to use, and the design was great. I haven't found anything else out there like it- small, nice looking, easy to use. The problem was that it would not connect to any of the stations she wants to listen to. I called Amazon support, and they had me try to get it to check for system updates. It wouldn't make the connection. They had me contact customer support for the company that makes the product, and there was no response. I sent it back. It was just what we wanted, and I was really disappointed that it had no product support from the company.

For the price, this radio isn't bad, but it's missing a basic feature: the ability to mute the audio. The volume control only goes down to one (not zero) so you can't make ads go away. Worse, when you turn it off, it resets when you turn it back on. You must stop and tediously re-navigate to the station you were listening to.Overall the functionality is very basic but it does work, we had no trouble finding and receiving the stations we wanted to hear. The built-in speaker is OK for news but for music you'll want headphones. The display is cramped black-and-white, but it's enough (barely) for menu and station selections. It's very light and slim, and the bright colors are fun. Setup on our WiFi network was relatively painless.Mutant did a reasonably good job of cutting features to the basics to hit a very low price point, but a mute switch was one they should have kept.Note: If you already own an App Phone (Android/iPhone) you can get the same functionality by getting apps like TuneIn Radio or iHeart radio.

I like this radio, but unfortunately, does not pick up the stations I wanted - but still will use it.

I am an Old Time Radio fan so when I received my Mutant Wi Fi receiver, I first set up my password then I then dialed in All Stations and scrolled down to Genres and scrolled down to Radio Drama and All Stations. There are over 50 internet stations broadcasting Old Time Radio 24 hours a day. Shows like Superman, The Shadow, Suspense, Sam spade and many more. There are 12 presets available on the Mutant so I had no trouble filling the slots with OTR. Great little internet radio with clear sound and good battery life ..between charges.....

Entry of information for connection to WiFi is inhibited by a poor display of lower case letters. Manual is not clear on how to make a connection to router and network. After 15 minutes on hold listening to commercials about other products Data Vision offers, I was unable to connect with a service rep to solve the problem despite repeated announcements that my call was important to them. Bullony! Product is going back.

I got one of these for Christmas a couple of years ago. Worked great for the FM station I often listen to and I could carry it around with me where ever I went. Then the geniuses at the station I like decided to go HD. Now my little radio is useless unless I want to listen to music (I can do that on my Kindle) or Spanish speaking stations, of which I get plenty.

perfect for what I need...music and sports talk on the go..where ever there is wifi im in..or I can just switch to FM
