I am usually skeptical of reviews for supplements as there's not much to say. However, having bought different berberine supplements after this I feel like I can compare better.I bought these as I have PCOS and have read studies that say that berberine is similar to Metformin. I didn't take these very regularly, but when I did they seem to regular my menstrual cycle very quickly! (I.e. I'd always get my period a few days after taking them regularly if I hadn't had one in 2 months etc). This was out of stock last time I wanted them so I bought a different brand which doesn't seem as potent. However since then I have managed my pcos by losing weight so I don't need anything so strongGood value for money, and seems to actually work! Either that, or just lots of coincidences

Very good and came on time

I was in the USA over Christmas and developed Glucose issues. The urine readings were consistently high after each meal, but perfectly normal in the morning. In essence, food was spiking my blood sugars. Having had an issue within the USA medical system a few years ago, I decided to do some research of my own into supplements that can stop BS spiking. It became obvious that Diet, Exercise and then supplements were the way to go. I dramatically altered the diet, increased exercise and started taking cinnamon, chromium and this tablet. I took chromium and cinnamon for a few days before I discovered Berberine. To be honest there were negligible changes to my BS/Glucose urine tests until I took Berberine. I started with a different brand but when I returned home I had to buy this one. It is 1000mg rather than the 500mg as per the other brand. This Berberine works just as effectively and within 24 hours my BS no longer spiked. 8 days on I have very closely monitored everything and there have been no spikes at all. All readings are now negative. I take 2 tablets, one in the morning and once at night. I have regular check-ups with the doctor, but I know Berberine has played a vital role in normalising my BS's. This product is great and it has worked for me. The only downside is I find 1000mg a bit too strong. It creates gastric discomfort and gas. At 500mg three times a day, I had no such side effects. I am hoping as my stomach gets used to the new dose, this side effect will calm down. Recommended.

I am a type 1 diabetic, I noticed lower blood sugar readings straight away. I used to have 3 units of lantus in the evening and 10 units In the morning. I’ve reduced it down to 6 units in the morning and 1 unit at night while taking berberine. Be aware that this significantly raises insulin sensitivity. A great product. But if you’re diabetic keep checking your blood sugar levels as it does make a big difference. I took 3,000 milligrams spread throughout the day.

I have been taking these for almost a month now and have seen no visible changes. However, I am due to have a diabietic blood test in 2 weeks and will report the results at that time.

tablets work well for me,however i strongly resent a £2 price hike when I go to reorder
