Don't even get me started on how detailed this car is
Extremely detailed; even has the water cup! The car came with a little tofu box to put in the trunk. At first I thought the hood would not stay open but it actually has a hood stay arm the flips up. The headlamps flip up and all the doors open. When you move the wheels, the steering wheel moves as well; all wheels spin freely. The only thing you should be careful with are the mirrors. If they happen to come off, just dab some glue and they will go back on. The only reason mine came off was I messing around with them and the passenger one came off (my own fault, not the manufacturer's). Overall, this is an amazing 1:18th scale metal car with unmatched detail. I cannot express this enough; it even has carpet in the car! I was lucky enough to get this and keisuke takahashi's yellow RX-7; they look awesome together. These are becoming more rare and the price is showing that. If you can buy one cheap, DO IT! They are only going to go up in value.

A Timeless Classic
I HAVE NEVER SEEN A MORE DETAILED DIECAST CAR THAN THIS! WORTH EVERY PENNY, WITH TIME THESE WILL BE MORE RARE AND EXPENSIVE. TRULY A MUST FOR ANYONE WHO APPRECIATES HATCHBACK CARS WITH POP UP LITES FRM THE 1980s. THE INTERIOR IS HIGHLY DETAILED, EVEN THE SEAT BELTS ARE REALISTIC. THIS IS NOT A TOY FOR KIDS. IT IS A COLLECTIBLE FOR ADULTS. VERY FRAGILE SO HANDLE WITH CARE AND ENJOY FLIPPING THE POP UP LITES. THE SWITCH IS UNDERSIDE THE CAR BELOW HOOD UNDER LICENSE PLATE. ABSOLUTELY ADORING THIS WELL MADE JAPANESE CAR. I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE IT REMINDS ME OF THE THIRD GENERATION HONDA ACCORD HATCHBACK FROM THE USDM MARKET. 😊😀❤

Incredibly detailed and accurate. Must have for any Initial D fan... or even a car fan!
This is by far one of the most unique piece I have in my collection (along with the Project D/carbon fiber hood version of this vehicle). What sets this apart is the fact that it is based on a very plain and ordinary car unlike the rest of my collection which is comprised of dream cars/super cars. AUTOart always produces the best quality models and it shows in this car with details right from the moment you open the box:Secure, completely enclosed in styrofoam when you pull it out of the box.Pop-up headlamps via a switch under the car just behind the license plate. All the lights look like the real thing, can't see mounting posts and colours are accurate.Rain visors installed over the doors.Door handles are actual separate pieces, not just molded with the door!Carpeted interior and trunk.Instrument cluster well detailed with accurate depiction of the new rev counter in the middle of the instrument panel.Laser etched metals form the seat belt buckles.Seat belts are actual strips of cloth! Not a lot of people will notice that the ceiling inside the car is for a vehicle with a sunroof; in the anime, Bunta Fujiwara installed this so he can have the interior light up front. There is also a clear lensed interior light to the rear of the vehicle! Great little detail that many will miss. His cupholder and paper cup are present in the dash, neat little touch!Engine bay has the correct Bluetop 4A-GE engine installed as well as some nice details like the manufacturer stickers and warning labels, exhaust manifold, cam pulley, carburetors, strut bar, cables.Rear window has the defrosting lines.Hatchback door has simulated hydraulic arms as detail as well as little cables attached to the trunk cover that helps it open with the door.Outside the hatchback door, the badges are accurate and in the correct locations, it even has an actual piece protruding for the keyhole!Panel gaps are wonderfully accurate and not too wide though there is a tradeoff with this as noted in the next section.Rims are accurate as well, the 8 spoke Watanabe RS rims are in a great gunmetal colour with each individual bolt painted to make it stand outMud guards have the Trueno logo.Under the car, you see the drive train, exhaust pipe and suspension system as detailed pieces. This particular model comes with a single tofu tray that opens and reveals that is is indeed full of tofu!Only drawbacks I have:Front wheels only turn about 5 degrees each way and it feels very difficult to turn the wheels... not realistic and unfortunate as this is a drifiting car and it would look great when displayed with the wheels turned in full opposite lock.Panel gaps... even though it was a plus, it is difficult to open the doors without finger nails or a tool. Just be careful as this is a delicate model and not a toy!
