I love this headlight, own 4 of them now
I'll be upset when these are completely discontinued and impossible to find. Streamlight knows how to get it done, everyone brags about how their light is the brightest and it has 20 modes, smh, for camping or hunting or whatever I like how this one has 2 modes, bright is as bright as it needs to be. It's comfortable, power button is easy access, can clip to a hat and 2 AAA's will last a LONG time in this light. I had one for about 10 years and the headband clip finally broke, I couldn't even complain about it. I bought 3 more because I know these are good quality

Best Light For Close Work
I am here to sing praises for this little light. I have purchased about a dozen of them over the past few years for myself and my employees. I am a refrigeration tech, and spend most of my time inside of machines or installing electrical controls in cases with no light. This light is NOT the best for a powerful beam over long distances. It is ideal for illuminating work at arms reach. That being said, I am never without it while walking down to the animals on the homestead, and I had no problem seeing the outline of a raccoon at 20 yards through a rifle scope. Most importantly it is the only light I can find that clips to your bill cap that doesn't require those little button batteries that I never have. The light lasts a good week or two of regular use on two AAA batteries. I cannot strap a dirty sweaty headlamp to my head, and straps are unreliable when you are hanging upside down in a machine. So the clip feature is indispensable to me. I pull it off my cap all day to use it as a hand light or to clip it in a machine to illuminate the work. That being said, I work these hard and have busted them in every way imaginable. I have only busted the "ears" that hold the battery cap on once, and was only able to fix that by stealing parts from another smashed unit. The most common failure is the friction tab that holds the light at the set angle. Simple fix is to tighten the hinge screw, and it works fine without it. I am buying 3 more of these today, and dread the day they quit making them.

Great light!
This is my 4th light, the other three have been globbed onto by sticky fingers in the family! These lights are bright and are great for completing a task that needs to hands. We use the lights around the camp site, to and from the showers, hiking to and from deer stands. I use it while working under the truck, these things are indispensable when it comes to hooking up wires behind a desk for your computer network or home entertainment system. I give this a four star because it does not have the top head strap which goes over the top of skull. Maybe that is a different model, and I didn't notice when ordering, my other three lights which are close to 6 years old have the top head strap which I really like. Not having that band is not a deal breaker for me, this light is a great buy for the price. Very light weight as well.

Nice value headlamp
Good, decently bright, adjustable, tri-mode (off/bright/dim) headlamp. Owned mine for 3-4 years, and have gifted a few to family members. It would get 5 stars, except for one small flaw: the battery compartment slides open and shut. Over time, the little tab that locks the compartment shut can wear down, causing you to have to improvise a solution to keep the light on and keep the batteries from falling out.Other than that, it's a great light, excellent value, and seems to run forever on a set of good batteries. I hiked many trails with this as my only light, so I definitely think I've got my money's worth out of it. Just be careful when changing batteries.I still have the one I mentioned, and it still works, I just had to rubber-band the battery compartment shut. So other than that little plastic tab, the light's solid. I recommend it.

Right Features, Priced Right
I bought one of these despite some of the negative reviews because it has all the features I want and am glad I did. For the price it's a good, compact, well functioning light...that uses common "junk drawer" batteries, and has a built-in hat clip. The adjustable beam feature turns out to be a bonus I wasn't expecting in that it is quite effective for such a small lamp. I like that I can widen the beam for working on gear in my lap, or focus to a tight beam to throw more light further. The battery compartment door is indeed flimsy, and I expect the tang that secures the tilting mechanism will eventually snap off. The hat clip (which is the primary feature for me) also feels like it may eventually fail - as it's pretty tight slipping over the bill of a standard ball cap. But for the price I will be happy if it makes it through a year of fishing trips, and I'm going to buy a couple more now.

Just what I Wanted
This product has had low reviews for the battery case. The problem is a lack of clear instruction to get the battery cap off. Once you realize it's not hinged on and slides apart it is relatively easy to open. Closing the case is harder because you are pressing in the batteries while at the same time fitting the cap back in place to slid back into the retaining brackets. All this may sound complex but it isn't. I figure low star reviews stemmed from owners breaking the cap bracket(s) off or damaging them trying to figure out the cap removal. Now to the how the unit works- It's great, well made, advertised to go a long time on AA batteriesand meets my needs and works as expected. The clip-on visor was the clincher for me. The straps pass through a slit on the adjustment brackets to come off. All works great. I'm going to get the green light version too just because I want it.

Good LED Headlight
I ordered this thinking that I could interchange the light on the head-belt with another Tactical LED flashlight I have. Not so. But it did meet my expectations as far as usefulness and utility. I live in the woods and when it gets dark out, it is dark. When I go out to adjust, find or do something around the house this light proved to be very practical. Not too bright, but bright enough that if you are looking on the ground you can clearly see it and what lies ahead. It is very comfortable and light. The head strap is of a good quality as when I use it in the winter it does not stretch the band to where it is ruined, with all the winter stuff on my head. I would recommend this to anyone who wants reliability at a fairly good price.

Great inexpensive headlamp!
I bought this headlamp because I was going camping for the long weekend, and I was very satisfied. It has 2 brightness levels, adjustable tilt and head strap and stays in place easily. Worked perfectly for lighting where I was looking. Not to mention, the price tag is very low, and worth every penny!

Absolutely garbage
The light worked but then stopped. Where the battery goes, the connection was lost, you had to apply pressure to both sides for the battery to actually register. This after the lock on the battery door failed. So, the battery door thing that holds the battery in failed and then the connection was no longer good after applying duct tape, which worked for a bit but for the amount of money, you shouldnt need such solutions. Its in the trash.Bought a Coleman light and no issues. It's just not bright but neither was this. Was cheaper, too.
