Barbie Mermaid
Love this Barbie Mermaid. We have yet to test her out with the bubbles bc we use her in the shower/bath. She's held up great and my daughter loves to play with her. We also have the light up Barbie mermaid. Between those two, it's perfect. We plan to travel with her to use on pools, etc. too.

1st birthday & 1st Barbie
This Barbie bubble mermaid is a gift, I also bought her the mermaid book and a Melissa and Doug puzzle to go with it. This is for a 1 year old little girl. I think it will be a great starter Barbie. She will need mom and dad to help her blow the bubbles! But I'm sure she will have a blast in the bath with her!

cute idea
Cute, not as easy to use, Barbie's hair gets nasty with the bubble juice. Otherwise being a Barbie, my granddaughters were thrilled.

Make the tail removable
I like that this toy can be used as a bubble machine and by using the pull string to make the tail rotate is ingenious. But the removal of the tail is nearly impossible without breaking the attachment. The thing that I would change would be to make the tail removable so that the child can play with it with or without the tail attachment.

String broke off and fin doesn't spin
The doll itself is beautiful and typical Barbie quality. But the string to the spinning tail mechanism snapped, recoiled into the fin and is now irretrievable without trying to open the doll up, which I will not do. The ring that held the string is now a real choking hazard that I threw out. Can you still use the tail to make bubbles? Yes, but not as intended. So I don't really recommend it. My daughter still loves it, but of course she does; she has a kind heart and loves all her toys even when they have boo boos.

Barbie+Bubbles=FUN
My daughter loves Barbie and she loves this doll. She can play in the bathtub, pool or just in the backyard blowing bubbles. She now wants another one, so when she visit Grandma (70 yrs old), They can play together. As she says, "Grandma can just sit outside and blow bubbles.. Bubbles make everyone happy".
