About What I Thought It Would Be
I was skeptical about this setup, but for the price I didn't have much to lose.Mount/Tripod:I expected the tripod/mount to be flimsy. It is, but more stable than I expected. With the amount of plastic in the construction, I don't expect it to last long. I had to take the cover off the fork arm and tighten down the screws that hold the arm in place. It had a lot of lateral movement prior to that adjustment. The tension knob that secures the mount to the tripod needs to be tightened occasionally during use. The scope does stay where you put it, and it has smooth travel in both axes. It is a little top heavy, but stable enough if you are careful. It is too short for me to observe comfortably from a standing position. I am 6' 1" tall. It does set up quickly and is light weight. I think the lack of stability is an acceptable trade-off for the convenience this package provides. I would prefer some type of handle to use to move the scope instead of having to manipulate the optical tube, but it works well enough.Scope:Overall, better than I expected. Straight forward and easy to use. The dust cap will not stay on. The description said it has a 2" focuser. Mine only accepts 1.25" eyepieces. It looks like you could unscrew the 1.25" eyepiece holder and replace it with a 2" version, but I have not seen anything like that available. I have read that they did exist, but I haven't found one. I do like the tension ring that holds the eyepiece in place. The 20mm 70 degree Field of View eyepiece really surprised me. I have tried a 25 mm and 32 mm (both 50 degree FOV), and the eyepiece that came with it gives a better view (more magnification and wider FOV). It really is a good match for this scope. I bought this scope with the desire to get the Andromeda Galaxy within the filed of view. It accomplishes that goal for what is visible in my seeing conditions. M110 is clearly visible as well. This scope is amazing for scanning the sky, especially the Milky Way. I haven't tried any higher powered observing than the 23x magnification the supplied eyepiece provides. I have a 127 mm SCT for that. You do notice coma around the edges of the field of view, but the main view looks pretty crisp.Binoculars:I kind of saw them as a bonus to the package, so I am not disappointed by their lack of quality. The rubber coating that was on the outside of the body was very chalky and discolored. The alignment is all over the place. I haven't bothered to see if I can adjust things to make them more usable. If you look at the pupil side of the lenses, you see straight edges instead of circles where the light comes through. They should have just used foldable eye cups instead of the twist up kind. It was a nice intention, but poor execution. They don't stay in place when you raise them. The strap for the binoculars cannot actually be attached to the rings that receive the strap clips. They are better than no binoculars, but I can't imagine coming across something worse that you wouldn't throw away.Backpack:Not bad. It has a divider inside that is held in place with velcro. I don't know how they were expecting things to pack into this, but with the permanently mounted focuser, it doesn't fit nicely. I don't try to put anything other than the optical tube in the pack. Anything else just complicates things.I really wanted something lightweight that I could easily throw in the back of my car. I had read previous reviews about the scope, so I knew what I was getting into. I found it on sale for $250, which I think was a reasonable price. I am happy with my purchase. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for someone who is looking for something to use as their only scope, or their first scope. For me scanning wide field views, it is perfect.

Equipo bien construido y con buen desempeño
Es un poco más grande de lo esperado de acuerdo con la focal corta que tiene. Su desempeño es bueno pero siendo exigentes queda en el lÃmite de la portabilidad...
