Q: So if I have 6 ohm 15w-150w speakers is this sufficient or would I be better off with the DTA-100 ?

It depends more on the sensitivity rating of the speakers (like, 90db at 1 watt/1 meter), and how loud you need it to be. For typical home theater bookshelf speakers, this amp is enough power for small rooms or enough power to supply background music in a larger room. The distortion increases pretty rapidly once you get over 10W peak output though, so the louder you need it, the worse its going to sound if you need more than about ~80db power at more than 2-3 meters away. Just keep in mind - if you're using this to upgrade from tiny computer speakers or the built in speakers on a TV, its already a lot more power than those systems are capable of, but a lot less power than a well built home theater receiver. tldr version: Its probably enough, but I don't have enough details about what you're using it for to be sure.

Q: what guage wire will fit? 14g or 16?

While the terminals appear to have large enough openings to accomodate 14g, you really dont have to go there (unless you are planning on using a few hundred feet of speaker wire). The resistance of, say, 20 ft of 16g Cu wire is only 0.08 ohms, or 100x less than the impedance of an 8 ohm speaker: i.e., absolutely negligible.

Q: at the top of the page it says "Soft turn-on eliminates annoying speaker pop" but in the video he mentions popping when turned on or off. ??, tx

I have 4 of these. None of mine pop AT ALL when I turn them on or off.
