Nutone 360W Central Vacuum Wall Inlet White

The product is not exactly like the images from the listing. Possibly the product was updated. Please update the images. Also not as white. It’s more off white, but it’s an upgrade compared to the old one.It comes with the necessary screws. But in case you need the old ones, I’d suggest using a magnetic screwdriver or be aware when removing the old ones. Lost one and it now lives inside the wall.

Ordered a NuTone Standard Inlet for a central cleaning system installed in 1974 when our home was built. One of our wall inlets had cracked, and we were thrilled to find a replacement. Shipping from Vacs Plus More only took about 2 days and installation was a breeze.

Works as intended.

Received the Inlet in the mail today. I see the cost has risen 97 cents since I ordered it two days ago. Sure, prices are increased for various reasons, but it seems to be happening on Amazon much more frequently than say a year ago, and by higher percentages. UPDATE: Only two hours after writing the above, the price at $13.35 had increased another 26 cents! Total increase in 2 days: $1.23 which is a 10% increase.I replaced my old inlet with this one because I also purchased a CH515 hose and it fits this one much better. The new hose was almost too large to fit in the old inlet, but new hose and new inlet fits just fine. I can see how an older hose with this newer, very slightly larger inlet is looser as others have stated. Replacing my old inlet with this one was a very simple operation. The gasket on the old one was cork, but this new one is made of rubber and not felt as others have said.The reason for 4 starts is because the inlet had dirt on it, outside and inside the cover, even though it arrived sealed in plastic. I had to wash it with soap and hot water to get it clean. There is still a tiny black stain on the cover.

New part does not hold vacuum hose as well as older version (original installed in house). It feels as if without vacuum suction it would fall out of port.However the newer version has rubber versus cork seal on the door which had compressed and did not completely seal.

Would agree with other reviews not really white. Off white but worked for me.

I purchased a few of these to replace the old beige ones in our house with the old, cracked, cork gasket.They were very simple to replace, and the new rubber-like gasket is much more pliable than the old cork gasket.I just wish they made them in a pure white color to match modern white outlet covers and light switches.

Replaced the 40+ year old original vacuum connection with no problems.
