Majority Robinson Digital Radio DAB/DAB+/FM and Internet Radio Receiver Adapter – Spotify Connect - Bluetooth – Remote Control - Optical and Line Out for External Speakers – Antenna Included (Black)

This little device adds internet radio and DAB to my hifi system and has exceeded all my expectations so far. Very simple to connect and setup it opens up a new world of music. I particularly like to Genre listings which makes it very simple to quickly find stations if interest. I'm hooked and at under £50 an absolute bargain for music lovers.

I bought this simply for the internet radio function, to add to my Denon micro-hifi in the kitchen, which already gives me DAB and Bluetooth: It is a tidy little box, and sits atop the Denon, offering a huge choice of stations and superior bitrate (equals better quality sound) to DAB. Connection was no problem, just the usual hassle of entering wifi SSID and password using up/down arrow keys on the remote.Once connected, I generally get a good signal, but just occasionally, the unit will stop and buffer, and even more occasionally, I need to turn it off/on at the mains to regain streaming of the internet radio (not my broadband at fault; this has a rock-steady 36-38 Mb/s that I use for VPN to work). That and a remote with rather poor sensitivity to the buttons is why I have dropped a star. However, load up the AirMusic Control app on your Android/iOS device, and you can truly begin to enjoy the wealth of new stations available, by searching using the app rather than simply browsing genres on the screen of the unit. I now have several wonderful prog. rock stations, and some great blues too. It's a whole new world of music out there with this tiny device! For the price, it's well worth the investment. Oh, and it shows the weather for the city of your choice in standby mode too, very useful.Update: New battery in the remote helped some, but still not the most sensitive buttons. I now have a second one of these devices, and can confirm that I still have to unplug them from time to time when they get stuck buffering. Maybe a firmware update may fix this one day, who know? But still a 4-star rating and well worth the money.

I bought the Majority Robinson to add DAB, Internet radio and bluetooth connectivity to my old Bose Wave FM/AM radio. It works a treat and was simpler to set up than I had feared. Sound quality is excellent when played through the Bose Wave. DAB reception is very good with the supplied aerial. It is exactly what I was looking for. My only gripe is that it cycles through the clock and weather report when in standby mode. I don't suppose it uses much power but it would be nice if you could switch it off completely. If you unplug from the mains then you have do the whole setup again to connect to wifi, find and store your favourite stations etc. Other than that, it's excellent.Update after a week's usage : My earlier gripe has been solved as you can switch off the option to display the weather report on the standby screen and you can also set the screen brightness to very low in both dimmed or normal mode. Furthermore, when I switched off the power for a second time and then switched it on again, it had saved all my settings - including wifi connection and all my radio station presets.So, in conclusion, no gripes at all! Highly recommended.

Unfortunately I can not give this little Radio Adaptor a full endorsement.I already own a German made Technisat unit which is exactly the same designall be it just very slightly larger. My Technisat device does not have DAB+ whichis one of the factors why I bought this unit.I live in West London and was hoping to receive Radio Caroline off DAB+ as theyare supposedly on DAB+ in London area. Unfortunately could not find the channelthough I did get a couple of extra channels that I never had before.So I obviously went to the Internet Radio input of this little unit (Majority Robinson)and this is where the "problem" began . . . . .I programmed in several Internet Radio channels and all are perfectly streamed exceptthe main one I listen to most - Radio Caroline !Radio Caroline on the internet input of the Robinson just keeps buffering which obviouslyrenders the channel unlistenable!!!None of the other Internet radio channels do this on the Majority Robinson unit.Radio Caroline streams perfectly on the TECHNISAT unit and other devices that I have.I therefore contacted MAJORITY Customer Service Technical Department via email (unfortunately NO Telephone Number) and sorry to say MORE than half a dozen exchanges between myself and them and I have still not had an answer to why the Robinson is behaving like this.They keep answering (without answering) saying try this and try that??? Even suggesting it mightbe my broadband speed ignoring the fact that I have explained I don't have the problem on the Technisat device or other units (PC, AV Receiver etc.). In any case my BB Speed is 38.9Mbps via WiFi.Really disappointed with this unit and even more so with the Customer Help in NOT answering a simple question and just fobbing me off with "try this and try that" !!!
