Mr. Spock: Logic & Prosperity Box (Star Trek) Novelty Book – November 19, 2013

This is a nice tribute for the Mr. Spock character of the original Star Trek television series. It is made of a "hand-painted" plastic/resin, and is of a solid weight to stand nicely on flat surfaces. It comes with a sturdy well-made paper/cardboard display stand, and a "48-page illustrated" booklet, ISBN 978-1-4521-2450-6, with 5-page introduction about Mr. Spock, and the remaining pages being captioned photographic stills from the (original series) show featuring memorable Spock moments and quotes. I bought this as a gift and am very pleased with the purchase. The delivery was swift. The likeness of the "bust" is not perfect (face too thin and nose not quite right) but I would say it is a 'good enough likeness' to Mr. Spock and is sufficiently recognizable, given his hair color/style, ears, eyebrows, and uniform.

This is really cool. The bust comes with a small book and a stand. The book actually goes inside the stand, and the cover is much the same as the stand, so it blends in. The stand background is of outer space, complete with black and stars. There are pictures of Mr. Spock on the sides of the box (not shown in the picture), and another one on the cover of the book.I found the sayings in the book to be really well-done and nice as well. The pictures are screens from the show, and are very nicely printed. The bust itself is not very big, maybe 4-5 inches tall. It has a nice weight to it, though. "Live long and prosper" is etched into the front of it.Over all, as an avid lover of Mr. Spock, this was worth the price to me. It is a novelty item.

This is an amazing piece for less than $8! I wasn't expecting much to be honest, just wanted another fun accent for my desk. When it arrived I was surprised by the size of it - perhaps 4.5 inches. It is well painted and a great representation of everyone's favorite Science Officer. It has a nice weight to it making the piece feel solid - not cheap. The book of Spock's philosophy, logic and prosperity is a really fun addition to the statue but honestly I like the min-bust best.This is a logical purchase for any Star Trek fan and at the current price they will go at warp speed! Makes an agreeable holiday gift for your favorite Trekker.

As a die-hard Trekker I can say that this item met my expectations.The mini-book with Spock's quotations and additional information on the character is very neat.Pros => Works well as a gift, or for you to put in your collection.Cons => You have to buy 2, or else you will NOT give your only one as a gift and keep it to yourself! :)I totally recommend it for Trekkers, or people who admire Spock and his Logic.

Our 10 year old grandson enjoyed the booklet, but Mr Spock’s right hand fell off when he took it out of the box

I grew up watching CDR Spock. He is my hero. He holds the second highest place of honor on my desk, behind only the old girl, NCC-1701 herself. God bless Walter Matthew Jefferies!

If you are a Star Trek or Spock fan this is a must.

The figure is cheap. Book is small.

Nothing like the picture. Very narrow face and part of his finger missing. Only plus was that it was delivered fast and packaged well. Statue itself looks awful. Very disappointed trekkie here.

Product accurately met the description. A great idea for a Christmas present

Great item speedy delivery.

Ein Finger ist bereits abgebrochen. (Siehe Foto) Beim Auspacken der Büste vielleicht? Ich war zwar extrem vorsichtig, aber gut möglich ist dass es auch schon beim Einpacken kaputt war. So oder so, sehr ärgerlich!Die Büste selbst ist schön gemacht, man erkennt problemlos Mr. Spock, wie er leibt und lebt. Die vordere Seite wurde noch weitgehend mit Fleiss bemalt, die hintere Seite jedoch geschlampt. Die zweite Hand ist furchtbar coloriet worden.Wirklich mit Liebe wurden die Augen mit Farbe versehen. Hier ein riesengrosses Lob!Praktisch: ein mitgelieferter Aufsteller mit Sternenhimmel. Auch ein knapp fünfzigseitiges Büchlein liegt bei.Leider wurde vor der Colorierung die Büste nicht sauber gereinigt. Der Hals sieht daher aus, wie wenn Mr. Spock einige sehr grosse Pickel hätte. (Siehe Foto) Einverstanden, der Kaufpreis ist wirklich günstig. Dennoch, etwas mehr Fleiss bei der Säuberung des Rohmodells und eine etwas liebevollere Bemalung auf der Rückseite oder des Star Trek Emblems vorne auf der Uniform hätte dem Produkt gut getan.Von den theoretisch verdienten fünf Sternen muss je ein Punkt abgezogen werden, wegen ungereinigter Büste, teilweise schludriger Colorierung und dem abgebrochenen Finger. Es verbleiben 2 Sterne.

Und auch erstaunlich hochwertig.Oft sind Plastik-Figuren ja billig gemacht und auch unordentlich bemalt - das war hier nicht der Fall.Ich freue mich jeden Tag über meinen Mr Spock.
