Great QD mounts.
Good mounts. But you HAVE to locktite all the screws. I think this is how UTG sometimes gets a bad rep. People just throw stuff on their weapons without thinking it though and then when if falls apart blame the item first thing. When you go to adjust the set screw apply a drop or two of locktite and then adjust. Same for when you are installing the scope clamp screws. Make sure you locktite them. If you do not the vibrations of the rifle firing will loosen them up. I used two of these to mount a 3-9x40 (Bushnell AR Optics) on my 14.5 inch AR. Mostly as a joke since I got the scope from a buddy for free and it does look quite ridiculous on that small of a Carbine but it actually gets the job done. Glad I have a free float tube on my AR or this wouldn't have worked. The UTG offset mount won't fit the scope I picked up but this got the job done. Took it out the desert and was able to zero quickly and hit man sized steel at 300 yards (the farthest we could get a target out where we were shooting) even after taking off and re-installing later in the day. Just make sure you put it back on in the same slots you used to zero it and you will be good to go. And don't forget the LOCKTITE!

works great on my .308 AR
bought these to go on my DPMS Oracle .308 with a Nikon Bushmaster II scope. The previous one piece mount I had on the rifle would shoot loose after 7-10 shots, even after using loctite. I have UTG mounts on other AR flat tops in 5.56mm and they are rock solid so I thought I'd give these a try. After laser bore sighting at home, I took the .308 out to my son's range and started to dial it in. We shot over a hundred rounds that afternoon and the mounts held zero the whole time. Several weeks later I got the .308 out again and it shot right where it should have. I took the scope off and put it back on and it didn't change my point of impact at 100yds at all. Clearly these mounts are going to work. They are fairly typical of UTG's quality - well designed, well machined, gorgeous finish, and they work. So far I have had nothing but good luck with my purchases of UTG equipment and will continue to try out UTG products. Make sure you read the instruction or watch the youtube video of how to use the quick change lever. I have seen a lot of folks have problems because they thought they knew what they were doing, however they didn't... resulting in poor performance of these and similar mounts. After several hundred rounds and several on/off cycles fpr he scope, the mounts still keep zero.

Good deal on good mounts
Very nice mounts for a really good deal.Maintain zero so far but I haven't taken them off and put them back on yet. They lock down very tight.

Not a bad option at the price point.
Firstly, I did not buy this product to jump out of a C 130 airplane with it (or for the younger generation, I guess maybe a C 17 aircraft). I bought it for my SW Mp15 Sport used primarily for recreation. It is my "back-up" AR 15. I mounted a Nikon P223 3 power scope (currently on sale at Cabela's for $99.99). The quality of the mount is acceptable. I would compare it to the quality of Weaver scope rings of years ago. Back in the day, many hunters used Weaver rings and bases and killed plenty of game.I followed the instructions (imagine that) for adjusting the quick release feature. It works well. The scope fit to the mount was fine. In other reviews, I had read that the one inch rings cleared the MBUS rear sight with the Nikon scope. On my rifle, the body of the scope clears the rear sight, but the the thick rubber eyepiece presses against the rear sight. I can still turn the eyepiece though, it just drags a little. I do not believe it will affect the zero of the scope at all.YMMV. If I wanted to, I could remove some material from the top of the rear sight and have the rubber clear the rear sight completely. For now, I will leave the sight as is and not touch the dremel. The other slight issue I noticed was that the threads on one of the mounts seemed a little rough while tightening the screws. The screws tightened fine however, I just noticed one was rougher than the other. BTW I used nail polish as thread locker rather than locktite. I have not shot the rifle and scope together yet, and just in case there is a major issue and I need to take things apart, nail polish on the threads is a little easier to unscrew than locktite. My four star rating is based on the fact that there are five star mounts out there that are about as solid as an anvil. At the price point of this mount, it is very acceptable. I believe the rings were about $25.00. So for around $125.00 I have a decent scope and quick release mount on my inexpensive SW MP 15 Sport. This aluminum mount keeps the weight down on my rifle. I am satisfied. In summary, I believe the mount is satisfactory for hunting, hiking, recreation, etc. If you are going to put it behind the seat of a truck or in the trunk of a car, I think keeping the rifle in a decent case would be prudent. The mount is aluminum after all. If your purposes are similar to mine, I recommend it.

Good product but didn’t work for me sadly
I bought these mounts hoping that they would be tall enough for my Ar with a Nikon P223-3x32 Carbine optic . Alas they need to be an 1/8 of an inch taller to clear my magpul rear sight . If you have the new magpul slim and thin sights these will work but not for the standard magpul sights as I have . The mounts seemed nicely made and have a very thin sort of rubber lineing tape in the mounts themselves so that your optic does not slip while mounting or shooting . QD was easy to use and adjust , overall would buy if your not worried about BUIS .

High Quality- Inexpensive
Fast delivery. Very inexpensive, easy to use! Used it with my Bushnell Banner Dusk and Dawn 6-18 X 50 Scope on a Tikka T1X Rifle. I will purchase for my next rifle

Very nice mount!
This is great for longer scopes that have plenty of room to move them back and forth on the tube. It appears to be of high quality and fits very well. I bought this with the High Durasight Z-2 mount. This mount was to wide for my scope and the scope didn't have enough room to slide them back/forth to line up with the picatinny rail, but I kept it since it was very nice and I would probably use it on my next build.

!!!! OJO ¡¡¡¡
