Ballistic Urbanite Case for Samsung Galaxy S5 - Retail Packaging - White/Charcoal

I love these cases. They work so well. These newer ones are more slimline than my old ballistic case. I hope they hold up as well. The last ballastic case I had protected my s3 for three years. It fell of my horse a few times, bounced off concrete floors (a sure screen cracker if unprotected) . Even when I dropped it in the snow and ran it over with my SUV, not a scratch.

I've ordered Ballistic cases before and had great luck with them. They're typically a little larger than other cases, but I'm pretty rough with my phones so the added durability is necessary for me. This newer 1-piece case is slimmer than the old style Ballistic cases. Has great feel and looks cool. Very easy to slide in and out of your pocket, and still has all the protection of the old ones. Highly recommended!

Love the protection and the slimness. Hate everything else.This is the third phone in a row that I've put in a Ballistic case. I've always really like their cases because I've dropped my phone countless times and have never damaged it in one. My previous Ballistic cases, for prior phone models, were always functional and easy to hold.In researching this case, I was looking for a case that wouldn't slide around on the dashboard of my truck. I also wanted one that wouldn't easily slide out of my hand when holding it to watch a TV show or read a book. When I bought my S5 at Costco, I got a free Otterbox case as part of a promotion. I have never been a big fan of Otterbox because I've had bad luck with them in the past and consider them to be grossly overpriced. The Otterbox case I got was very slick on the back and would easily slide right out of my hand. My wife had a Ballistic case on her S4 that had a grippy pattern all over the back to prevent this. This case, with no obvious patterns worried me in pictures so I contacted Ballistic to ask them about it. The people at Ballistic responded to me with a form style reply of "Many of our customers tell us this case is very comfortable to hold." Well, that didn't answer my question and should have been my warning but I ordered it from Amazon anyway. When I got the case, I discovered it is shiny, glossy plastic on the back that is very slick. When I lay it down on it's face it doesn't slide around quite as easy in my car but that does nothing to help it sliding out of my hand. Also, as a couple of other reviewers mentioned, the buttons on both sides of the phone are very hard to press now. Apparently, Ballistic changed some of the materials between the S4 version of the case to the S5 version because my wife's case doesn't have this problem. This is very annoying and, combined with the slickness of the exterior, what makes it, to me, an unacceptable case design.

Nothing but good things from ballistic cases. Sturdy, durable, and stylish. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because of the manufacturing defect on the volume rocker. The volume up is a little wonky looking. Also, it was hard to put on and the buttons are a bit hard to press, needed to be broken in. I'll definitely just stick with the heavy case next time, the rubber is softer on those.

The phone fell flat on the screen less than 6ft. And I got a shattered screen. Cost me another $200.00 to get a replacement. A ballisic letdown!!! Stay away from this case...

I recommend this brand all the time. Ballistic cases is the only way to go in my opinion. This case is slim but strong. A little hard to get on and off, if you're the type to remove phone from case a lot this may not be for you.

Rec'd this in November, plastic portion of case is very slippery, corners and face protectors fit well and has protected it from one fall from my hands. Unfortunately, it is already cracking right by the power switch button, apparently flexes right there and the hard plastic not able to withstand it.
