Non-stick did not last!
I LOVED this fry pan for the first six months, but then my beloved corned beef hash started to stick. I'm an old fart with a favorite breakfast of browned corned beef hash and a fried egg. I class-up the hash by first browning diced onions. About 1/3C onion and 1/2 TBS of butter at medium heat. Browned butter and caramelized bits of onion go great mixed with the hash, but since I don't need extra fat I soak up as much as possible using absorbent paper before temporarily transferring the onion to a custard cup. Again with a partial used napkin I wipe out any leftover butter before placing 1/3 can of hash in the cooling pan then spreading it out before turning the gas back on.I use a great (also Amazon bought) silicon scraper as a mini spatula since when the no-stick works it's all that's needed to flip the hash or keep the onions stirred.Frying with a medium flame works great for the browning I like. Over time a dark build-up appeared in the pan's circular grooves moving from center outward. Maybe it's my fault since clean-up prior to the sticking problem was often just a thorough wipe with a paper towel while the pan was still warm. I only used soap and water occasionally.I fry the egg in a separate small non-stick while the now mixed onion and browned hash (also with excess grease swabbed out) stays warm in the Circulon off the burner. When the hash sticks it's REALLY STUCK! It's impossible to loosen with the silicon spatula as patches cling across the pan like residue from masking tape that's been left on something way too long! Scraping with a hard edged plastic spatula won't even get it all off. It sticks hard to both the grooves and upper surface.A dish detergent soak loosens and then brushing takes most off ... but not all. The dark "stain" stays in the grooves no matter what I try and I have to use a fingernail to scrape off a few tough surface bits. Circulon's website suggests a vinegar soak for cleaning the grooves, but even after hours of soaking and scrubbing with a variety of stiff plastic brushes it doesn't clear the grooves or bring back the pan's original no-stick properties. I've also tried a number of cleaning tools like no-scratch sponge pads and even dulled wooden toothpicks for the grooves, but no matter the dark "stains" remain and the hash will stick again. After my cleaning attempts and canola oil re-season the no-stick does improve a bit but it doesn't last. I've learned leaving some butter from the onions helps and also that I shouldn't try to turn or stir the hash until it sets a browned crust. A stiff plastic spatula works better now to lift it, but dang I've got too little life left to fuss with hash sticking to my pan!I soon hope to be rid of these frustrating frying hassles as a brand new Calphalon (NOT Circulon) fry pan is on the way from Amazon. Hopefully it's no-stick properties will hold-up against the "super glue" hash I'm addicted to!

Uncertain
I bought this pan from Amazon after owning a Circulon wok for 14+ years. We LOVE our wok, and Circulon in general gets very good reviews. So we naturally tried Circulon again. However, I must say I'm disappointed in this pan. It came with a small scratch on the silver coating on the outside of the pan. When I pulled on the little silver tab of coating it stretched a bit and came off. The silver coating immediately surrounding the scratch seamed like it did not adhere to the pan as well as the normal areas, like I could pull some of it off. At first, I ignored it, but after some thought, I was worried that if it came this way when new, the coating might come off too easily while using it. So I waited and thought about it.A few days later, I discovered that Bed, Bath, & Beyond has this same pan + more. So, I went to actually see them all. (BTW - BBB carries these pans for $25 too, but you can use a 20% coupon and save $5.) My local BBB only had 1 of these pans in stock when I went, and it had even more scratches on the outside than the one shipped from Amazon. Additionally, it had 2 minor pits on the outer coating. Everything was minor, but it just doesn't bode well for a brand new product to have any scratches or pits. And this was on the outside. I would expect the outside to take more abuse since it sits directly on a burner.Maybe I'm expecting too much for a $25 pan. But I expect something "new" to be in near mint condition. And I expect it to be able to take some minor abuse, like people picking it up in the store and possibly bumping it a bit. If it can't stand up to an occasional store trial, how can it stand up to the regular wear & tear of a kitchen?I will be returning this pan to Amazon. So sad. I was so excited and didn't even get to cook with it. :(

I LOVE THIS STUFF
I've been replacing all my bake ware with the Circulon bake ware as I could find pieces because it's just a dream to wash. Most of the time, it only takes a swipe with a dishcloth and soap, and they come clean. I have occasionally soaked a pan for a few minutes. I've even wiped them out out with a paper towel. This is just wonderful cooking ware. I couldn't find the pots and pans though. I only bought this one pan because I wanted to make sure it was like the bake ware. It is, and I'm so pleased. It came this morning and I used it this evening. My husband just loves these pans and doesn't mind washing the pots and pans now. He is constantly talking about how great they are to clean. This frying pan was rinsed out under hot water and soap... then dried with a paper towel. Absolutely so easy. I will be replacing all my pots and pans with Circulon. If you get tired of washing pots and pans, these are the ones you want. They cook and bake just like normal pans. I haven't (had to) put mine in the dishwasher. The quality is excellent. Nothing stuck to the frying pan this evening. I even cooked an egg in it, just to see and it came out perfectly. Not heavy, nicely weighted.. I've had most of the bake ware now for over two years. You can lift easily with one hand. They stack really nicely.. I can get them all in one neat stack. They fit together so well. Gave me more room for other things. I started giving away my other bake ware and some of it was quite expensive; I just haven't used it in over two years. I'm off to look at the pan sets now...
