I was hesitant to buy this given some of the poor reviews, but this is some good stuff. I have been in law enforcement for more than 17 years, and have been expected to have a shine on my boots. Yes, with the first coat, this polish will not give you much of a shine. If you have some scuffs, the leather will soak up the polish and it will be dull in that area at first. But after 7 or 8 coats (which are SUPER easy to apply) your boots/shoes will have a good shine that is tough. Most of the brush on shines are basically a Vaseline type substance that doesn't last. This stuff actually builds a coat that is as tough as a regular spit-shine polish. Apply a coat to your footwear every 20 minutes for a total of 7 coats, and you will see a shine.

This is NOT a High Gloss. It is a flat black finish. Just not as advertised….

Purchased to replace dried up products I have been using on my shoes. Applies easily and evenly. Even used it to add color to the cut edges of belts I had to downsize. Works well for both applications.

Finally got this good quality polish for my shoes, they are shiny and stay as new, no sticky or attract dust..👍

I work in the kitchen and I've had these boots for many years I have never polished them. I needed them for a memorial service I scrubbed them up really good and I put this product on them. The more you put on it and let it soak into the used leather the better. I put on a lot of coats. It was super easy with the applicator. Very minimal mess. Would 100% buy this again.

Pros:- Inexpensive- Easy to applyCons:- Foams while applying- Watery- Leaves an extremely thin coat- Does not cover scuffs and scratches with only one coatI usually use Kiwi Color Shine (UPC 031600113111) but it has become difficult to find and overpriced. I decided to try this Angelus brand but did not have high hopes. It does actually work, but not that well. It foams up horribly when applying leaving the chance that you'll get bubbles in the finish when dried. The product is watery and leaves a very thin coat, so thin that I could still slightly see the scuffs and scratches I was trying to cover up. It's priced well and should last a long time. I will continue to use this product but most likely will not purchase again unless it is improved.
