This 8th edition continues the excellent tradition!!! The addition of "clinical applications and clinical testing" is useful. Well worth the money, particularly with the online student insult.com.

this is a great book for understanding the GI tract and all processes involved in the organ system's function - it goes into detail, but the chronological order and organised format of the book makes it easy to follow.

This text has a pretty limited scope; 144 pages just wasn't sufficient. Overall, I was underwhelmed with the content and writing. Probably should have stuck with the Lange series.
