this book is clear and easy for undergraduate students , but we can not take it as an only reference some of its information is very short .generally I found it good for a general information in radiation protection

It is mostly about nuclear power plants.
I bought this book to accomplish the CME need for my CA Xray license. But this book spends far more time talking about nuclear power plants. Which I already had serious concerns about and now I would say they just aren't the way to go for power. However this didn't really relate to radiation I encounter at work. ALARA is all anyone really needs to know about radiation. So yet again it reminded me to take seriously radiation, which I suppose is the point.

Essential for studying C&G.
This is a must for anyone studying for their C&G in radiation safety or intending to enter the radiation protection profession as a monitor or technician. This book is written in relatively plain English to enable better and faster undertanding of the topics being discussed. As expected, this book is very good on the theory side of radiation protection but weak on the process of actually carrying out radiation protection monitoring tasks.Knowing and understanding the theory of radiation protection is the first essential step in becoming a competant radiation protection monitor or technician. This book provides that underpinning knowledge and can help to differentiate the monitor from the meter reader.
