Polk Audio TL3 High Performance Satellite Speaker - Black, Single speaker - Priced and sold individually

With the appropriate mix of equipment, these speakers sound great. The mid-ranges are crisp. The lows are good. The highs are OK. The equipment mix I have sounds great - TL3's for fronts & rears, Infiniti center (crisp, clear for all frequencies), and a powered Infiniti subwoofer (powerful lows).I needed small, white speakers in order to 'hide the speakers', in spite of them being in plain site. These TL3's deliver a good sound. The rest of the equipment make the sound delivered be extremely crisp, clear mids & highs, with powerful lows - bottom line a great sound.I've had the TL3's for about 6 months and would recommend these speakers, provided other componets are used to complement the sound.

This speaker works and it's well-built; however, the sound is flat. That was in the description of this item, but I like speakers with more high frequency sound. Overall, the speaker is adequate. The reason why I gave it three stars and not five is because of the sound. As stated before, the sound is flat and not more dynamic like I prefer. I replaced this speaker with Orb Audio MOD2s as left right and an ELAC center channel. The sound now is fantastic. I'm glad to have tried these speakers - just not good for my musical tastes.

I'm not sure why so many people love these. They are attractive and versatile if you need to mount them, but the sound is unexceptional. I am a big Polk fan and expected more from Polk. On the plus side, they seem reasonably accurate and "flat" (which is a good thing), but only as far as their frequency range goes, which is neither low enough nor high enough considering the cost. I can forgive the lack of depth considering the size, but the lack of high frequency response is disappointing. It rolls off too soon. I kept them because they are the right color and size for me. Maybe I'm asking too much from a speaker of this size. If all you need is a side or rear surround speaker, then fine. But if you are building a 2.1 system and you're an audiophile, keep looking.

When I purchased these speakers 2 yrs ago, I was really impressed with their overall construction. They are solidly built EXTERNALLY and weigh quite a bit for a small speaker, but their guts don't live up to the hype. I had this pair hooked up to a top quality Sony tuner so there is NO excuse for underperformance. First of all, the sound quality is average at best and they malfunctioned twice after less than 2 years. The second time they stopped working was only a few weeks after they were repaired by Squaretrade. They reimbursed me for the purchase because even their repair techs had to give up on these lemons. If you decide to buy this junk be SURE to get the extended warranty. Trust me... it will be well worth it!

Mounted these as rears for my 5.1 system and they sound great. They were easy to mount to the wall using my pre-wired setup and I could not be happier. I really like these speakers. I got them for our bedroom tv hooked up to a yamaha stereo receiver. The sound is clear and robust. We have one of those HEPA air cleaners running in the bedroom, and we don't need to turn it off in order to hear the audio, or turn the tv up real loud.the frequency range is nice too. you get enough of the lows to make the music and sound effects sound good and complete, not flat or like there's audio missing. Sure, there isn't a thunderous room shaking bass, but they're not subs.

Very clean accoustic sound ,not totally distortion free when watching a blue ray movie, but only when volume is cranked up way pass what it can handle.I played contemporary jazz saxophonist Najee's "My point of view" SACD in 5.1 surround on my PS3 and these speakers sounded remarkable and just as well on my sony SACD player with no distortion.Very nice design and build quality,pretty weighty for such a small speaker.Overall I would reccomend these speakers especially when used in a surround sound setting.

I've had the speakers incorporated into my 7.2 system for about a week. They're currently in the front pair position supplementing the center channel speaker. The purchase allowed me to swap out some poorly performing, old, RM101's. We've definitely noted some improved clarity and sound volume from the new units. Haven't cranked the whole system up as yet... my upstairs neighbors don't appreciate them as much as I do... ;-)
