Cream of the West All-Natural Roasted Wheat Hot Cereal, 24-Ounce Box (Pack of 6)

I like everything about this cereal, it tastes great, they ship it fast and it cooks quickly and easily. I've been eating it for years, and when I left Montana I started buying it from Amazon, which works really well. I also love their seven grain cereal and alternate on what I buy. I use yogurt, fruit and nuts in both of these, and never grow tired of them.

The first time I ever ate Cream of the West was about 1954 when I was 3 years old. It was made from Montana Hard Wheat and it tasted great. So, 60 years later I see it on Amazon so I bought 6 boxes. I had it for breakfast the morning after I got it. I fried a couple of eggs sunny side up, slid them on top of the slow cooked Cream of the West, sprinkled it with some Rosemary/Lemon Seasalt and poured some heavy cream on top. I ate all 4 servings.

Cream of the West is one of those little-known gems -- hot cereal with an excellent taste, and easy to make. It's our family's favorite, especially during the winter, and is frequently requested by the kids, as well as being nutritious.In my opinion, it is best to serve mixed with a little brown sugar and a little milk, along with a healthy dose of toast on the side.The Roasted Wheat is our family's favorite. We move around a lot, and this product is very difficult to find in stores, but online we are able to keep this as a steady, healthy part of our diet.

This stuff is amazing. I stumbled on it during a trip to Montana in 2012 and ever since have been ordering it online. It's very easy to make. I usually put in raisins, bananas and roasted peanuts, or in the summer it is great with peaches or most other fruits. It's great that it is 100% whole wheat and it has a great flavor. Some people may prefer to add some sugar but I like the mild wheat flavor as is.

A great replacement for my favorite hot cereal "Wheat Hearts" which went out of business. Taste and prep are virtually identical.

If you like the common hot cereal that shall remain nameless, but prefer whole grain cereals over highly refined cereals, you'll love Cream of the West.Cream of the West is tons better than that other one.I used to buy this at my local Winn Dixie, but most of them closed and I haven't been able to find it for years.Saw it on Amazon and ordered 6 boxes. Yummmm!
